- You should also look at Wikipedia:Requested copyright examinations. I've glanced through some of the external website and I think it would make a valid article. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 00:14, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
Continental Party of Canada
[edit]Sorry about the delay I stopped about the time you posted to my page. If you look at User:CambridgeBayWeather/Sandbox you can see what I wrote.
The thing is that right now what you have written looks like an advert for the party and as such will get deleted. While I expect that you will want to rewrite the article to reflect the parties views, there are some things that must be included.
The first sentence in the current form should stand as it gives the basic information, just replace the words enclosed by the {} with the correct words. The reference line should also be included as the is right now the only proof that this is not a hoax, as people will create web pages to hoax Wikipedia.
Also include the category that's listed below the reference but remove the two "nowiki" comments. The page should be posted at Continental Party of Canada rather than at The Continental Party of Canada.
One other thing that would probably be a good idea is to post a disclaimer at Talk:Continental Party of Canada saying that the founder of the party edits Wikipedia as User:Continentalparty.
I suggest that you play around with the bit I wrote in my sandbox and see how it comes out before you post the article. It looks better to produce a finished article in one go rather than making several edits one after another. Good luck. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 11:43, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- I've added some links based on what you entered. You could post it anytime you feel it's ready. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 00:59, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit]No problem. It makes a change to have someone pleased with me these days. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 01:43, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to your user page (User:Continentalparty), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy).
Please note that the purpose of a user page is not as personal homepage or Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, but as way for active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. If you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues here or on my user talk page. You may remove the deletion notice, and the page will not be deleted for the moment, but note that it may still be sent to Miscellany for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.
