But of course, by definition, Coups happen somewhere else, usually in 'undeveloped countries'. A coup could never happen in the United States. And even if it did, it would never be called a coup. That November in 1963 the American head of state was violently killed and removed from office, and with him his entire administration was let us say 'exchanged', but because it was America, it couldn't be a coup.
