Adoption

[edit]

Hi Computernurd22, I know I haven't been the best of adopters lately. Sorry, and I'd fully understand if you want to end your adoption. No hard feelings, and I'd still answer any questions you have (please do).

If you do want to continue the adoption, please complete the new assignments. Thanks. Xiner (talk, email) 01:35, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cool -Thanks for the Cookies

[edit]

Hey, that's real cool for the message of welcome and the really helpful advice. Wow I haven't even been on here that long. Hope that what I do is acceptable on the Wikipedia. If it's not just tell me and correct.

Got to warn you I'm not able to always be on here, due to what I'll call "commitments", some would say just trying to exist etc. Artypants 14:11, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions will come at a later date!

[edit]

Thanks I’ll take you up on that offer later, so be prepared for a barrage of questions. You say you’re new? You look like a seasoned pro. Well if I can make friends with such as you in such an amazingly quick time, I think I’ll like it on here. All the best. Artypants 14:21, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Smile! Well, hopefully...

[edit]

exucse, please comment again.

Try this userbox {{UserCremepuff222/User Friend|Color (red, orange...)|Username (Cremepuff222)}} --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 01:51, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Go to User:Cremepuff222/User Friend! Look at the code!! --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 01:56, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cool, so you understand what "subst:" does now? Btw, eh, where are the section edit links on this talk page? Xiner (talk, email) 23:10, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed the linking issue. The __NOEDITSECTION__ magic word was at the top of the page. --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 00:18, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Archiving your talk page

[edit]

Meet User:MiszaBot/Archive_requests. Btw that was one of the assignments. Xiner (talk, email) 14:11, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. :) Xiner (talk, email) 14:26, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, you don't need to provide any diffs (I can check your contribs if I want to). Just go on to the next assignment until you're done. A note: edit summaries help other editors a lot. Xiner (talk) 15:13, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Add wiki links to words in a article

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your welcome note on my user page. I wanted your guidance. I have created a couple of pages on wikipedia. The problem i face everytime is for adding links to wiki articles for the words used in an article. In case the article is long with many words, it is very time consuming to search for words which have an associated wiki article and add a link to it. Is there any better way of converting such words to links. If yes, please do guide me. Dhshah 19:37, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Woah

How did you get your user page to look so cool? I like the little icons at the top and the green background. Could you please tell me how to do that? Also, if someone is filled with the urge to vandalize, would they be allowed to do that in your sandbox?

Hello, Computernurd22. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Sergeant Bluff School Logo.gif) was found at the following location: User:Computernurd22. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 08:44, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FIRST--your team

[edit]

Hi,

So I was randomly browsing the users who are FIRST members and I noticed that you are on Team 1726, the N.E.R.D.S. I thought that was really cool, I happen to be on Team 852, the guys you were with (along with 1662) at the 2006 Davis regionals. WE OWNED! That was a good year. And this year was good, the dinner at the Mexican restaurant was fun. Good luck next year!

End of an era

Hi there. As you've probably noticed, I have neglected my duties - due to personal circumstances. I cannot in good conscience continue to bill myself as an active adopter, and have thus edited your userpage to reflect the change. Rest assured that I'm still available for any questions you may have on your Wikipedia journey. Please do NOT hesitate to contact me about anything. Good luck and message me again soon! Hi. I'm sorry to bother you, but as a Wikiproject Grammar member, I just wondered if you would be willing to have a look through the Kent‎ article. It is currently a Featured Article Candidate and needs a copy-edit for grammar by someone who hasn't yet seen it. Any other ways to improve the article would also be welcome. Thank you very much, if you can. Epbr123 23:37, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.
