Yr Edit To The Floppy Disk Article
[edit]Can u explain why you have the redirect
- A: redirects here. For the letter Ä, see Ä
at the top of the Floppy Disk article and where it redirects from. It seems to have little to do with Floppy Disks but before I remove it I thought I would ask Tom94022 (talk) 17:17, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
E: redirects to Ë, U: redirects to Ü, but A: doesn't redirect to Ä. It redirects to Floppy Disk.Computer97 (talk) 17:31, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- It did so I changed it to redirect to Ä and then removed yr edit from the Floppy Disk article. Tom94022 (talk) 05:11, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
Who likes formulas?Computer97 (talk) 17:39, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
It wasn't vandalism. I made the edit so people could read the symbol. On my computer it was mojibake, and the symbol for coprime was the perpendicular symbol.Computer97 (talk) 03:18, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
New Barnstar
[edit]First of all, thanks for your interest in creating a new barnstar. May I ask a question, and provide a suggestion?
- First of all, what do you mean by creating "useful formulae"? Do you mean formulae that help in Wikipedia, or in life in general? Could you provide an example of where you think this should be applied? Just to help me understand its usage.
- Secondly—and this is purely my personal opinion—do you think that you could come up with another image for your barnstar? I would agree that of all the currently extant images for barnstars, that you certainly made the right choice. But it is my impression that editors are far less likely to use barnstars that use the image of another barnstar. How about something where you had a small image of a barnstar on top of a fraction bar and another small barnstar underneath? It would make yours stand out and increase the liklihood of it getting used. Just a thought. Unschool 00:52, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
I mean formulae that help in Wikipedia. Computer97 (talk) 01:07, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Do you like it
[edit]Do you like the x over y barnstar? Computer97 (talk) 01:10, 19 January 2009 (UTC) Computer97 (talk) 01:11, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Well, like I said, a different image would be a good idea. Could you also provide me with an example of a contribution that you are thinking about? I mean, can you give me an example of some work that someone has done that would merit awarding them this barnstar? Unschool 01:57, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Changing images
[edit]Hey, I wonder if you might have misunderstood me. I was suggesting that you change the image for that barnstar that you created. You can't just go and change an established barnstar's image as you did here without having some discussion with other editors. Did you read my suggestion for what you might want to change yours to? It's just a suggestion, and I'm sure that there are better imgage concepts that someone else could think of, but I was just trying to help—I did not mean for you to change another barnstar's image. Unschool 03:48, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- About the E+MC^2 star, I was making a correction. Computer97 (talk) 03:52, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- It hardly looks like a correction. You changed the image entirely. Unschool 04:07, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- I will have to prove it to you.

Computer97 (talk) 04:09, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- How is this a "correction"? There was nothing that needed to be corrected on the previous image.
And don't forget
[edit]I'm still waiting for you to provide an example of someone's work for which you would award this barnstar. Who creates formulae that "help Wikipedia"? If you cannot provide me examples of where this would be pertinent, your barnstar may have to be deleted, with or without a new image. Unschool 04:52, 19 January 2009 (UTC) Someone makes a formula for, say, factorial. That's what I'm talking about. Computer97 (talk) 04:55, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, now I think I understand. And if I do understand you correctly, we have a problem.
- You see, no one on Wikipedia is allowed to "create" anything for Wikipedia's articles. That's a violation of the prohibition against original research. All information in our articles must be from other sources, and good sources at that. If that's what your barnstar is for, then we can't use it. Someone who "earned" your barnstar would have their edits removed. Unschool 05:08, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
I blanked its page. Computer97 (talk) 15:08, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Division by zero thing
[edit]Ok, so on a graph with the formula , x goes down if y goes down. So if x = 0, y = . But think of trying to divide the items in to groups; you couldn't! So So , right. Wrong. So , where z is a possible answer. So you can't divide by zero.
Calvin and Hobbes userbox
[edit]Hi.
During your recent edits to User:Scepia/Calvin and Hobbes, you (unintentionally, I think) made it so the userbox's blue border extends to surroud all of the following userboxes on the user's page. So I have undone your recent edits. Grundle2600 (talk) 14:31, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Achievmentsymbol.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 03:40, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
