I need to have more articles linking internally into the wiki page that I created. I perused Wikipedia before creating the page Wenzhou Medical College, and I noticed that some pages already had a link to the article, but these were Red Links because the page didn't exist as yet. How can I make Wikipedia activate these Red Links?}--Compendium wmc (talk) 03:26, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- Red links don't need to be activated. When the article with the subject title (with the exact spelling, naming scheme, and capitalization) is created, the red links will automatically turn blue. If you have created the articles, but red links are still showing up, purge your cache or refresh your browser. - Jameson L. Tai talk ♦ guestbook ♦ contribs 03:32, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you!!!--Compendium wmc (talk) 12:23, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! That whole Xinjiang University bit was confusing at first, but then I moved the page to "Xinjiang Medical University: International ...", which I believe was a better way of representing the College. Thanks again. Compendium wmc (talk) 12:23, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
SmackBot problem
[edit]Your bot kicked a template off a page that I've been struggling to put together for a while. It consists of ~33 Universities allowed to have an Enlish-Medium Medical Program here in China. It did this on the Dalian Medical University, adn I'm glad someone reversed those changes. You can check the history to confirm this.
Thanks. Compendium wmc (talk) 10:31, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- It didn't. {{cn}} is a refdirect to {{Fact}}. The stub template was moved to the bottom. That's the only changes: see here Rich Farmbrough 13:46 2 December 2008 (UTC).
- Sigh. I didn't change that. The name of the template was changed twice by a subsequent editor. Rich Farmbrough, 13:37 4 December 2008 (UTC).

Speedy deletion nomination of The Affiliated Eye Hospital
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Affiliated Eye Hospital requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thank you kindly, and duly noted. I also noticed the article he submitted for Mbbs in China, and it is pretty similar to English Medium Medical Schools which has been around since 2010 (I don't understand why one user moved that page, because now that "China" is missing from its title, it sounds a little less relevant). As always, thanks for the hard work. Compendium wmc (talk) 15:40, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

You ought to change the link from Future projects to User:Compendium wmc/Future projects. Cheers, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 21:50, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for that! Been a while since I created these mini-items on my page. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for the hint

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:30, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
