Stephen B. Whatley's donated images

[edit]

Greetings! It looks like you've added several images to the Stephen B. Whatley. How can we confirm that Whatley has donated those images and made them available for reuse? —C.Fred (talk) 04:03, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, His email is: stephenbwhatley@gmail.com. Please feel free to email him and verify my statements.

He sent me the photos to add, along with this statement:

I own the copyright to these photos and give permission for them to be uploaded to Wikipedia.

~ Stephen B Whatley, Artist, London, UK

Also, if you check his Flickr account, you will see that all these paintings are also available for view there, which is why I chose the Flickr license. http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephenbwhatley/

If I need to choose a different copyright tag please let me know. But please do talk to Mr. Whatley if there are any issues.

Actually, it would be better if he changed the license on the pictures to Creative Commons (CC-BY-SA 3.0) on Flickr. Right now, the license says "all rights reserve", which is not what the uploads indicate. Either he needs to contact Wikipedia (either info-en@ or photosubmission@wikimedia.org) to make clear that he consents to reuse, including commercial reuse, of the image, or else the license tag needs to be changed to denote that it's a non-free image (which can be used on Wikipedia under fairly restrictive circumstances). —C.Fred (talk) 22:50, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification. I will talk to him about this and get it fixed. Commonplace Book (talk) 20:03, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Melanie Iglesias may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rodney Jenkins, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Hickstead and Sarsaparilla (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
