Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Color511511, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Palmistry does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Please do not insert fringe or undue weight content into articles, as you did to Tarot card reading. An article should not give undue weight to any aspects of the subject but should strive to treat each aspect with a weight appropriate to its significance to the subject. Please use the article's talk page to discuss the material and its appropriate weight within the article. Thank you. Ixocactus (talk) 17:44, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for your message.
- About your revert on Palmistry:
- I did not seek to give it undue weight, the article already mentioned several times that it is seen as a pseudoscience by a majority of people, and it is already mentioned in the lead section of the article.
- Calling it a pseudoscience on word 4 however, is very much excessive and starts to pose serious problems when it comes to NPOV.
- The articles on Astral projection, Out-of-body experience, or even Yoga don't call them pseudoscience so early, despite the fact that they too lack scientific evidence.
- This article in its current state has problems, don't you think? Color511511 (talk) 19:40, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. I agree with Dimadick's words in that talk page. I suggest you our WP:FRINGE rules. I will change the welcome message with a more useful for you. Ixocactus (talk) 01:33, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
