WW2 shipwreck lists

Hi, re your recent edit, the aim with these lists is to have one link per sea per day. Due to the length of the lists, this is better than just linking on the first occurrence of the term. I would agree that linking every occurrence is overlinking, but feel that one per day is a reasonable compromise. Mjroots (talk) 16:13, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

I did start re-adding the links, but have reverted myself. There is a qualifier in WP:OVERLINK which says that unless the link is particularly relevant to the subject, it should not be made. Oceans and seas are relevant to shipwreck articles. How about I raise this either at the Ships or Shipwrecks wikiproject so that consensus can be established? Mjroots (talk) 16:25, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
I've opened a discussion at WT:SHIPWRECK. Mjroots (talk) 08:33, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

Citation styles

Please don't do that again. When you start an article, you can establish whatever citation style you please, but when one is already established, you shouldn't be changing it - whatever your opinion of the style. Nikkimaria (talk) 17:47, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

"not required" does not mean "forbidden". If you'd like to start a discussion forbidding things like publisher for newspapers, you know how to do it. Until that discussion succeeds, let me reiterate: where a complete citation style is established, do not remove parameters, no matter how stupid or unnecessary or irrelevant or whatever you think it is, without posting to the article's talk page.
