Greater Noida

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Greater Noida appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 09:55, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

// Hi Arjayay. I have added famous & reputed School and college names to the page located in the city. You may check these institutions with local authorities or these institutions website. I am a local resident of the city 'Greater Noida' hence well aware about the educational institutions.

Thank you.CollegeGN

CollegeGN, please see WP:LISTPEOPLE to understand what constitutes notability. It is not about what local authorities or institutions considers notable, but rather having a stand-alone article.
Also, please have a look at Help:Talk pages#Indentation and Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. It is preferable for you to properly indent your responses. Peaceray (talk) 05:09, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

IIMT Group of Colleges

[edit]

Hello. In addition to the conflict of interest concerns raised, this article was not suitable for mainspace and would likely have been deleted. As such, I have moved it to Draft:IIMT Group of Colleges where you can work on it, and add independent, reliable sources. Please note that if you are representing this entity, you must declare that and should not edit the article directly. Star Mississippi 15:02, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Star Mississippi,

Thanks for reviewing the article and make me aware to add Citations to the article. I have added some citations from the reliable sources to the article. Kindly reviews the article and share your suggestions.

User talk:CollegeGN 10:31, 25 October 2021 (IST)

That's a great start. I recommend you review Help:Referencing_for_beginners and our reliable source guidelines-for example the Guiness Book of World Records would not count. I've made a few removals and edits so you can see format. Let me know if you need any further help, happy to. Star Mississippi 13:37, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Star Missisippi for your great help and suggestions. I have removed the 'Guiness Book of World Records'. Please have a look on the article, if it is good to go now.

User talk:CollegeGN 10:35, 26 October 2021 (IST)

It's better, thank you. Are there more secondary sources that talk about this group of schools and why they're notable? That would be helpful. If that's something you can add, I'd move it back. I'm not sure it would survive a deletion discussion, but that's for the community to discuss. I wouldn't nominate it now. Star Mississippi 13:29, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have added some more news sources of social cause and students participation in competition.

Kindly review the article if it is good to move it back. User talk:CollegeGN 10:35, 27 October 2021 (IST)

I moved it back and copyedited it slightly. Thanks for your help. Star Mississippi 14:15, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Star Mississippi for your great help and moved the article back.
Please advise for creating different article pages of the different colleges of the group. Also about other notable places / organizations of Greater Noida and nearby places.

User talk:CollegeGN 10:40, 28 October 2021 (IST)

Hi, I would advise using the Articles for Creation process until you're more familiar with notability guidelines. While the group of colleges may be notable, the individual schools might not be. Similarly to other organizations, I'd recommend reading WP:ORG, WP:CORP to understand what is required for an organization to be notable. You can also check out the teahouse for other help and questions. Star Mississippi 13:59, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Star Mississippi, I have created a page for the individual school of the group. Kindly review it.

Hi, school notability isn't my area of expertise, unfortunately. However if you click submit for review, one of the AFC reviewers will be along and you'll be in good hands. In the mean time, I made some minor formatting edits. Star Mississippi 16:25, 30 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
