Palin trivia
[edit]Re: Lifting trivia out of article altogether. Regardless of your personal bias against irreverence, this is a story topping newswires around the world. Don't get too excited. I'm sure Sarah's not expecting you to police her internet presence so thoroughly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Littlepils (talk • contribs) 12:05, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't say it was irreverent, I said it was irrelevant. And it is. Just because something is mentioned in a news story does not make it necessary to include it in an article. See WP:RECENTISM and especially WP:TRIVIA, which discourage this sort of thing. Coemgenus 12:10, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's still a case of you're being way too subjective. There are many, many instances on the Sarah Palin page which could be construed as irrelevant from several points of view. I even suggested a place be made for this type of information in my edit, so it wasn't as though it was thrown recklessly into the article. McCain "torture" exclusions
[edit]I am not familiar with the who and when of the "consensus on exclusion of this material [that] has already been acheived (sic)" , which you cite in support of deleting relevant and referenced material from John McCain. Please direct me to wherever this is documented. Thank you. — Writegeist (talk) 16:41, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Panic!
[edit]Coemgenus, thanks for the very nice words about the Panic of 1907. I'm glad you enjoyed the article... I started working on it before the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers and it sure ended up being a lot more timely than I would have hoped! --JayHenry (talk) 05:00, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Phillies!
[edit]Thanks! I hope that you'll contribute some to the peer review I plan to undertake in late November/early December in hopes of taking this article to GA. I appreciate your support and your help working on the article while I was moving and otherwise indisposed. Greatly appreciated. KV5 • Squawk box • Fight on! 14:11, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Frankford1918.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:30, 19 December 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Dream out loud (talk) 06:30, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- Since it was taken in 1918, I'm unlikely to have taken it myself! :) I expanded on the source info. Coemgenus 16:43, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
