Also British and English are technically the same thing.

Information icon Hello, I'm Mlpearc. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Ritchie Blackmore, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mlpearc (powwow) 16:28, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Help:Hidden text, Help:Wiki markup and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Invisible comments Cheers, Mlpearc (powwow) 16:38, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the hidden text because it is irrelevant, as it is claiming that because of some alleged racial background he shouldn't be described as English - this is false. I've added a reference with a quote from Blackmore where he refers to himself as being English. The two references for the original claim of his father being from Cardiff (which also has no bearing or whether he is English or not - where he is born and how he self identifies do however) don't come up with anything. Either way, your changes should be discussed on the talk page before making them. Mlpearc (powwow) 17:24, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The person who changed the description to the unreferenced British one didn't take the discussion to the talk page. The English description is fully referenced, and any removal of a reference description or statement is vandalism. It should also be notced that the two accounts that have restored the British description since I added the English reference are sockpuppets of someone who was banned a long time ago.

What is your deal, and why are you creating dozens of socks to push some odd "English" POV into various articles, again and again and again? - Alison 21:43, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
