- Thank you @ Jerod Lycett, the IP address given was a school computer. That being the case, should I still be concerned? Coachbricewilliams28 (talk) 20:11, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- If you value your privacy you may. If you don't care as much, you can leave it. Was just advising that it is there if you don't want people knowing your IP. Jerod Lycett (talk) 06:01, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Pings and talkbacks
[edit]Hi Brice, re: your comments at Talk:International Christian Church, while as an admin I would generally prefer to stay out of the content discussions, I had some general Wikipedia notes based on your request to be pinged. If you click the star icon at the top of either the talk page or the article, both the article and the talk page will be added to your Watchlist, which you can access by clicking the Watchlist link at the top of the page. This may make it easier for you to see updates to either the article or the talk page, especially if you don't have many pages watchlisted. (Me, I've got 12,200...Wow.) You can ping other editors like JamieBrown2011 by either using {{u|JamieBrown2011}} or {{ping|JamieBrown2011}} (the latter yields a colon after the name, buuuuut, the ping system is a little buggy, and it will only work if you ping them at the same time you add your comment and sign your post with four tildes. If you come back after the fact to edit your post, or to add the ping, it won't work, even if you re-sign the post. In that case, using {{Talkback}} on the other party's talk page may help to draw their attention to the discussion. I know, I know. Very confusing... - Cyphoidbomb I think there is a chance I'm learning! haha Did I do this correct? Coachbricewilliams28 (talk) 00:05, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
- Yes. Worked fine. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:23, 15 April 2017 (UTC)

[edit] You are suspected of sock puppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, then, if you wish to do so, respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Coachbricewilliams28. - The most I know about Phoenix is from Medium (TV Series), which my mum rather enjoys! I've been to Florida, but when I'm financially independent I'll probably visit more of the US. ∰Bellezzasolo✡ Discuss 21:55, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
- Well, Sedona, the Grand canyon and the Havasupai falls are beautiful side trips if you are working your way to Vegas. Haha Coachbricewilliams28 (talk) 21:58, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
- Personally I think I'm less the type to be visiting Las Vegas, more Los Alamos! Although I could end up doing the Race Across America some day, I suppose. ∰Bellezzasolo✡ Discuss 22:11, 2 January 2019 (UTC)

ACV
[edit]On my talk page, you said: "I'm no ACV doctor, but I noticed about 2 years ago you removed an addition I made citiating it was "weak primary sources." I'm curious if you can extrapolate on that because the evidence was beyond obvious to me when I was in the lab ( not involved ) but observing that study. The ABC lab published these findings in peer reviewed medical journals as well and eventually they were accepted to NCBI. To me, that isn't the definition of "weak" so I figured I would ask. =) This is what I posted --> A 2016 study showed Anti-obesogenic effects of apple cider vinegar (ACV) in rats subjected to a high fat diet. Source: PMID 27209492 A 2007 study showed that "vinegar affects insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus patients with diabetic gastroparesis by reducing the gastric emptying rate." This same study concluded that ACV did not decrease post-postprandial glucose levels but mildly increased due to the ratio of simple carbohydrate content of the food used during the study. Source: PMID 18093343 In a 2010 study by Dr. Carol Johnston concluded "The antiglycemic properties of vinegar are evident when small amounts of vinegar are ingested with meals composed of complex carbohydrates. In these situations, vinegar attenuated PPG by 20% compared to placebo." Source: PMID 20068289
- PMID 27209492 is a rat study which we don't use as a source for content on human health; see WP:MEDANIMAL and WP:MEDASSESS. PMID 18093343 and PMID 20068289 were weak, small-subject (9 or 10 people) studies far too preliminary to cite for the encyclopedia; they have not been corroborated by larger or more rigorous clinical research. Content on human health or disease should be sourced to a systematic review or meta-analysis of completed, high-quality clinical trials, discussed in MEDASSESS. Just to clarify your statement about results that "were accepted to NCBI." You may be assuming that a published article listed on PubMed, an NCBI listing service, is somehow approved or validated by the National Center for Biotechnology Information and the National Library of Medicine which publishes PubMed; no such approval or validation is undertaken, as explained here. You can respond on your talk page if you wish to discuss further. --Zefr (talk) 22:31, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- No; wonderful explanation. Thanks for the clarity. Coachbricewilliams28 (talk) 22:33, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
Less is less
[edit]Most editors put very little about themselves on their User page. Not prohibited. Mostly, it is for explaining one's intent as a Wikipedia editor.David notMD (talk) 05:23, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks man! I'll certainly get more advice and see if reducing is beneficial in some way. Coachbricewilliams28 (talk) 05:24, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
Creating references
[edit]For medical topic references that have a PMID number, there is a tool that creates a proper reference after you enter the PMID number: https://tools.wmflabs.org/citation-template-filling/cgi-bin/index.cgi All you then have to do is copy the content into the article, between the <ref and </ref stuff. I did this for the exercise meta-analysis study you cited. Doc James did it for the Diabetes citation. Keep in mind that individual clinical trials (and animal and cell culture research) do not meet the standard for medical/health topics. David notMD (talk) 14:13, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
Posting personal information
Please do not post other editors' personal information such as name or age to the 'pedia when they have not done so themselves, as you did at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Qewr4231. I'd like to think that is wasn't your intent, but it is considered harassment. See WP:OUTING for more details. Accordingly, your edits have been suppressed from the page's editing history. Regards. Image source problem with File:Crown of Thorns Phase 1 Map.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Crown of Thorns Phase 1 Map.jpg.
This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.
If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:57, 14 August 2023 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Estopedist1 (talk) 17:57, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- Estopedist1 Greetings!
- Could you assist me a bit with the appropriate coding for this update? I ask because I have been a bit out of the wiki game so such first time edit protocols require a ton of reading on my part that is a tad over my head. In short, I am Rob Onekea's assistant and have full rights per him to use this material and represent him accordingly online as of January 2020. Thank you for the help! Block evasion claim
[edit]Can I ask which block you think is being evaded at Talk:International Churches of Christ? You cited WP:NOTFORUM as a reason for removing the material, but a post pointing out that the article needs more independent sources is well within the scope of talk page discussion. Cordless Larry (talk) 07:06, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'm completely fine with the claim if made by you. Feel free to audit the sources. I personally have no investment in the page. It can be deleted for all I care, BUT I am invested in keeping that user & his 5+ alt accounts off adding to the encyclopedia because his additions are historically nonsense. He had been using wiki as his soapbox for ~9 years +/-. While I may have deleted 1 relevant post/ claim, it was part of a slew of nonsense. See the archive 8 and 9 for details. Coachbricewilliams28 (talk) 07:16, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- Who is "he" though? If you believe that a user is abusing multiple accounts, you need to file a case at WP:SPI. Cordless Larry (talk) 07:25, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
