Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Florida. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Help me! I am trying to 'undo' the entry that was unknowingly 'inappropriate' but have been unable to! Can someone give me instructions how to do this! Thanks so much.
- Your edits were undone soon after you made them; just before the messages were added here. You can check the page history by clicking on the "History" tab at Florida or using this link. -- John of Reading (talk) 12:30, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
This is your last warning; the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Naples, Florida, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. -- Donald Albury 14:07, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
I haven't any intention of spamming whatsoever, but am unclear about the intent of external links. Other than rewrite an article or a web page of mine into Wikipedia, how do I make use of an external link to an article or web page of mine without spamming? Perhaps you could give me a more concrete example? Thanks so much.
