ClueBot III produced an index containing many irrelevant pages

My user talk page archive index has been created (Special:PermanentLink/1016243742) as a list containing what looks like the first hundred or so mainspace articles sorted alphabetically, i.e. things like !!!. As I understand it, it should just be a one line pointing to User talk:GKFX/Archive 1. Is this a bug? User:GKFX^talk 08:16, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

Suggestion

I think ClueBot NG should give a welcome message if the users talk page doesn't exist. I remember starting out and making a bunch of vandal test edits and was eventually welcomed. With the welcome I was linked to the task center and introduction and saw that I could help Wikipedia, and then did. Noah ^💬 18:54, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure User:WelcomerBot did that. I know it's now inactive but I don't know if it was ever replaced. Stwalkerster used to operate it, they might be able to help.-- 5 albert square (talk) 19:57, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

WelcomerBot only ever welcomed users created manually through the WP:ACC tool. It was replaced fairly recently through the use of OAuth instead of a bot which took the approach of forging signatures to make the message "appear" from the user who created the account in the tool interface. That said, if I understand your request, this would fall under WP:PEREN#Use_a_bot_to_welcome_new_users or WP:FDB#Bots_to_welcome_users. stwalkerster (talk) 20:41, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
