[edit]Hello, I'm Sneezless. I noticed that you recently removed content from St. Louis Country Club without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to St. Louis Country Club, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. - You removed content that was directly stated in the reference; "Long considered a pinnacle of WASP culture in St. Louis,", as well as not having sources that state that St. Louis Country Club has no history of discrimination. Sneezless (talk) (contribs) 17:16, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
Hi Clubwayfarer! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of St. Louis Country Club several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:St. Louis Country Club, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 18:19, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
I take no position on the merits of your edits, but you cannot edit war. Please discuss on talk with other editors. 331dot (talk) 18:21, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
- The truth matters. If someone else is republishing false statements, wouldn't they be the one causing the edit war?
- I am removing a sentence that has no citation, and the citations that are provided make no confirmation of racism or anti-Semitism. Clubwayfarer (talk) 19:26, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
- It takes two to edit war. It's not true- irrespective of the merits of your edits- that the sentence you are removing has no citation, there is another sentence in between. Another editor disagrees with you, so this needs to be worked out instead of continual reversions back and forth.
- All of your edits have been about the club. Are you associated with the club in some way? 331dot (talk) 19:29, 8 June 2023 (UTC)

[edit]I know there was some confusion, so I added significantly more sourcing on the history of racism and anti-Semitism at St. Louis Country Club. I hope that clears things up!! 190.66.255.154 (talk) 00:49, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
