Proposed deletion of Maria Houkli

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Maria Houkli, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Somno (talk) 05:10, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove prod tags. Simply use {{hangon}} and users are bound to come to the page and check it out. Thanks. ~~Meldshal42 (talk) 20:07, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please tell me if it's okay now

Clockwork84 (talk) 20:54, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Clockwork84. Meldshal42 is incorrect - it's OK if you remove the prod tag. That means you disagree with the article's deletion, which is fine. Sometimes that means the article will be taken to Articles for Deletion, where users will review the article and decide if it should be deleted. The major problem with this article is that there are no references. You need to use reliable sources to verify the information in the article and establish that Ms Houkli meets notability criteria. The best thing you can do for the article is find references that support it. Somno (talk) 00:47, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We're still unclear on the status of these photographs. Are you the photographer? If not, how do you claim the right to license their use? If you are, this leaves us wondering whether you work for Maria or her boss(es) and thus have a massive undisclosed conflict of interest. --Orange Mike | Talk 13:46, 19 June 2008 (UTC) Orange Mike, I don't work for either, I still claim those are mine, and Maria is just someone I admire and strongly believe she should have an article in Wikipedia, as do some of her colleagues, whose articles, strangely enough are not discussed. Anything else? Should I just delete the photographs then and leave the article be...?..

I have replied again on Maria Houkli's talk page, but I thought I should also add this template to your talk page - it has some helpful links. If you have any further questions about Ms Houkli's article or anything else in Wikipedia, feel free to ask me on my talk page. If I don't know the answer myself, I'll probably know where to find it. As you've discovered, finding policies and the like in Wikipedia is somewhat difficult. :) Somno (talk) 08:34, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
