Request reason:
I believe i have been blocked for referencing the company i work for, this is not intended as advertisement purposes. I thought I needed to add facts on the page and wanted to prove the company I am working for exits by linking the website. If this is not allowed can i remove the website links?
Decline reason:
I'm sorry, but I cannot unblock you at this time. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations.
To be unblocked:
- you must agree to avoid creating or directly editing articles related to your organisation (requested edits will still be permitted)
- you must agree to abide by the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use and disclose any paid relationship in accordance with the paid contributor policy
- you must indicate what areas of Wikipedia you intend to edit in the future
If you have no interest in editing Wikipedia beyond writing about your organisation, then you will not be unblocked. If this is the case, I recommend you consider alternative outlets.
So we know understanding is mutual, please state your understanding/response to each item in your own words.HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 18:27, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I've properly formatted your request(it must be outside the block notice to display properly); someone else will review it. 331dot (talk) 16:57, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
Thank you, 331dot
- you must agree to avoid creating or directly editing articles related to your organisation (requested edits will still be permitted) - yes, this is fine. My aim was originally to provide facts about myself, I didn't realise I wasn't able to say who i worked for. I wont make this mistake again
- you must agree to abide by the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use and disclose any paid relationship in accordance with the paid contributor policy
- you must indicate what areas of Wikipedia you intend to edit in the future - I intend to edit pages that i have a knowledge base on and provide facts/offer grammar checks if needed
You will need to make another formal unblock request, to be reviewed by a heretofore uninvolved administrator. 331dot (talk) 14:49, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
