Gregor Robertson article
[edit]Hello Citywatcher311,
I notice you made some changes to the Gregor Robertson article today. I've moved several of your proposed changes to the article's talk page as there were some issues with citations not matching the text. Please discuss those proposed changes there so we can find a way to include any valid material into the article in an agreed upon manner.
Thank you.

I appreciate your enthusiasm for editing. But the article you have now added as a source for the claim about VPD and Downtown Business Association (http://www.news1130.com/news/local/more.jsp?content=20081216_195352_12912) makes no such claim. Please find a source that actually verifies your claim. It would be best for you to propose changes such as that on the article's talk page to avoid a back and forth through the edit notes. That way we can work together to properly source the article from reliable sources.
Thank you. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 23:00, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Concerned Citizen, I would be happy to work with you, but so far it seems you are decidedly against allowing a balanced article on Mayor Robertson.
To your point on the VPD/BIA endorsement of the HEAT shelters: I will post an additional supporting reference which clearly supports my point: Homeless shelters reducing 911 calls Allen Garr, Vancouver Courier Published: Friday, March 13, 2009 - http://www2.canada.com/vancouvercourier/news/opinion/story.html?id=9cf403a7-e4c6-4856-bb42-f506f0dd1669&p=1
I'm open to working with you on this article in a cooperative fashion, but I would ask that in future you show my edits and additions the same respect as I've shown yours.
- I am happy to see any factual and well cited statements added to the article. Those that are not well cited, or that cite articles that have nothing to do with the claim, have been moved to the talk section (you can get there by clicking the discussion tab on the article) so they can be discussed. I have fixed the citation for the VPD/BIA endorsement and added it correctly to the article. May I suggest taking a look at how reference tags work so you can add references correctly when you find them? You can see how the properly referenced citations are formatted to avoid introducing formatting errors into the article. As an aside I also re-read the article about the HEAT shelters you had cited for the 450 beds. The article stated 200. I updated it to read 200. If you have another reliable source that says 450, please add it to the article or discuss it on the talk page. Thank you. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 02:48, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
