Doggy Cabal

Random article contest
Yes, the random article contest could be a good idea for a focused collaboration. That wasn't the problem, the problem was the excessive bureaucracy. If you want to start a random article collaboration, that would be great, something like WP:TSQUAD perhaps? Keilana|Parlez ici 22:42, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- Looks like Keilana beat me to posting a far better explanation than I ever could. While I'm not opposed to a random article collaboration, I have an idea that's better than a page where you give out barnstars for adding interesting articles: add a fact to an article yourself, and get a warm fuzzy feeling that you've helped improve the encyclopedia. east.718 at 00:59, April 2, 2008
Cabals
I've started an informal consensus survey which I hope will help us come to a conclusion on whether the cabals should remain deleted. You can express your opinion at this page (link). Thank you. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 12:44, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- New and exciting, RfC flavoured cabals! Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 21:41, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Cake!
You are the first receipient of my creation... the WikiCake! Cheers, Basketball110 Go Longhorns! 19:30, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Basketball110 Go Longhorns! has given you a WikiCake! WikiCakes promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by giving someone else a cake, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Bon appetit!
Spread the tastiness of pies by adding {{subst:GiveCake}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
- You deserved it. Basketball110 23:02, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- They are quite a bit different, and Potato Points are named potato because of the cabal... I'm not sure... I'll think about. Basketball110 02:35, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well if that's how you feel about it, I might as well withdraw the fact, and try to win next time. Hmmf (that's a grunt of madness)! :) Basketball110 22:42, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know it was a joke. Users are complaining that the Random article contest is "promoting adminship," and I too think that some of our members aren't quite ready. I removed "will be nominated" with "will be considered," just to make it sound better, but it still links to same place. Basketball110 22:34, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm going to look into that, thanks! In the meanwhile, what do you think about my new song? Basketball110 00:10, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- It's actually the Bathrobe cabal. And I've found the revision, and added it to the funny page. Basketball110 00:19, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- What would Condi play? I guess she's too small for anything but the point. Basketball110 00:26, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- Did you just kick of my-main-man D'p'er off the team? Basketball110 00:35, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- 1.8 ppg by 05-06? I didn't like Diop that much. What about Croshere? Did you like him? He's a traitor. Basketball110 00:39, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- Croshere went to GSW right after we lost to them... traitor he is, but I'm glad he's gone. What was that misunderstanding about, with "eye color?" Basketball110 00:54, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Oh. I wonder if Willie Nelson would make a good shooting guard? He does everything else... Basketball110 00:57, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not confortable w/ Chuck Norris... could it be Angela Beesley? Well, I'll have to give you the Lawnmowers lineup:
- Clips Lineup
Center - Jimbo Wales
Power Forward - Elton Brand
Small Forward - Chuck Norris
Shooting Guard - Corey Maggette
Point Guard - Hannah Montana
Head Coach -Barack Obama.
We'll have to see... What do you think? Basketball110 01:05, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

- See User:Basketball110#Current Activites#Basketball Dream Team to see that it is now a "contest." Since you've given me an idea non-erasable about the Heat, would you like to submit with me? Basketball110 03:03, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry - got the link wrong. It's User:Basketball110/Mr. Potato Head Cabal#Current Activities. Since you've given me an idea non-erasable about the Heat, would you like to submit with me? Basketball110 03:05, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- We'll do that as a seperate activity... would you create a 'league,' and post it on the cabal page? I would do it, but I'm
really lazyreally busy right now. Basketball110 03:56, 30 March 2008 (UTC)- Well, to clarify, we are doing a contest, the Basketball Dream Team Game just for fun, to see whose is the funniest. You suggested a league in which each person has 5 players and 1 coach, and the users keep up with those articles. Did you make that page, or shall I? Hope that helps. Basketball110 04:42, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- How is the league? Basketbal110 Talk 22:52, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- I s'pose it's because of the other contests. ComputerGuy890100 nominated his Random Article for Good, and he looks to get it, so after that's done maybe they'll check out the others. Nobody's been to the figure it out page recently, either. Basketball110 Talk 23:26, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- Be my guest. If you create it, I'll join, but other than that, I see no reason to. People will nom it for MfD, and when that doesn't work for them, bitch about it at ANI. I don't know what they have against our cabals... they're way more productive than the "Bathrobe Cabal." Basketball110 Talk 00:40, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

re:Basketball110
But if he apologizes that's like admitting it! Then he'd be marked as a vandal, treated like a vandal, and practically ruin his chances at an RfA. So I think he should press the issue. But it's his call. RC-0722 247.5/1 04:12, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- I can live with being admin at the Test Wiki and Hoopedia until all who have read this have died off. Then I'll go admin. Basketball110 Talk 04:26, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- RC-0722 again demonstrating that he thinks adminship is everything. Wikipedia and adminship is not a game or a level-up, but rather this is an encyclopedia. Fair use review
Please see the discussion I've started at Wikipedia:Fair_use_review#Image:Kirby_hobo_festival.jpg. Corvus cornixtalk 23:48, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
My concern is that somebody could go to the festival and take pictures, so there's no real need to apply FU rationale for a flyer for the event. Corvus cornixtalk 23:54, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
I don't have any particular heartburn either way, but I just wanted to open it for discussion. Corvus cornixtalk 23:58, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

RFA thanks
Thanks for your support in my RFA, that didn't quite make it and ended at 120/47/13. There was a ton of great advice there, that I'm going to go on. Maybe someday. If not, there are articles to write! Thanks for your support. Lawrence § t/e 17:49, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Wikiproject Sims
Hi i saw that you supported Wikiproject Sims proposal. Wel, I am happy to announce that i have made Wikiproject Sims. Just Click Here Save The HumansTalk :) 23:54, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
As a result of discussion at Wikipedia:Fair_use_review#Image:Kirby_hobo_festival.jpg, this image has been removed from Kirby, Texas. It has also had the fair use rationale for that article removed, tagged as orphaned, tagged as not having a fair use rationale and tagged as being replaceable fair use. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 15:08, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Civility
I highly suggest you watch your civility. Metros (talk) 21:51, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

- To call the fact that I was involved in a discussion of getting a photo of yours deleted an "accomplishment" reeks of sarcasm and incivility. It was totally unnecessary and uncalled for. Metros (talk) 21:58, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Was it not an accomplishment for you? I know it makes you proud. You really need to take a look at the root of the sarcasm, which comes from your own incivility. It would be nice if you watched your own civility before commenting on others'. --Uga Man (talk) UGA MAN FOR PRESIDENT 2008 22:01, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

- Removing my attempts at discussion from your talk page as common vandalism.
- Following me wherever I have an issue, and always siding against my argument.
Lets say you acted like this to a new user. That kind of behavior would run them away from the project, and in my opinion that is not constructive.--Uga Man (talk) UGA MAN FOR PRESIDENT 2008 22:23, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Deleted bit on the Ayman al-Zawahiri page
You undid my edit, but didn't provide any explanation. There was no direct citation, but like the rest of the info in the intro, the sentence was explained and cited in detail under the section "Expulsion from Sudan." You also never said anything on the talk page, despite there being a relevant discussion already ongoing. If I don't hear from you in a few days, I'm going to put the sentence back.
