Welcome, newcomer

Welcome, CindyBo! I seem to have located you as a new editor, somewhere lost and alone in the vastness that is Wikipedia. Never fear, you have found yourself a guide! If you are lost or confused, you might want to take a look at this FAQ.

If you find yourself with a great deal of time, you can start out at the Introduction and work your way through the many pages listed in that page.

I cannot stress enough the necessity of reading - it is absolutely fundamental to your understanding of Wikipedia. I know it's complex and overwhelming, which is exactly why I want to help you. Please feel free to ask questions liberally; the Newbies' help page and my talk page are perfect places to post your queries. Just edit the page using the tabs at the top, and ask away!

In addition, here are some useful links:

Also, I've removed your email from the New User Log. Wikipedia is highly visible on the internet and many email harvesting bots collect addresses and use them to spam advertisements...I don't want that to happen to you, so I've taken it off. If you want to offer email communication, you can set your address with the preferences link. Ideally, Wikipedia-related communication will happen on this talk page, which allows for continued discussions. Again, welcome, and happy editing! —Keakealani 07:16, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Distributor.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Distributor.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:06, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
