Hello, I really like the idea of Draft:Blackening (Scottish wedding custom), but your sourcing could still use some work.

My best recommendation: take a look at GoogleBooks, and see which books discuss this tradition and give details. Try your best to skip past the "500 Amazing Facts!!!" type of casual read books, and look for more serious and scholarly books about culture. Look through those, pull out some more details and scholarly analysis, and bulk up your draft that way.

Note too, the nice thing about GoogleBooks is you can instantly turn any gBooks link into a full Wikipedia footnote using the tool at http://reftag.appspot.com. That tool has saved me days of my life over the last few years. :)

Great start, neat topic, we just need less sourcing to "fun" casual touristy stuff, and more to serious scholarship, so your readers can be assured they're getting good facts, and not just weird anecdotal stuff someone held to no standards or peer-review chucked up on the company website. Stick to it, finish up strong! MatthewVanitas (talk) 23:56, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
