I understand the concern this article violates the Wikipedia terms of use because of the allegation it supports original research, but this is in fact not the case. If you look at the articles (although I have cited some abstracts, it is easy to access these full articles through PubMed provided you have subscriptions to the publishers in question or are part of a major university or equivalent research institution. The article was written objectively by researching various research articles which have been published in their respective journals through a rigorous process of peer review. Please note some of the journals cited were either published by Nature or the New England Journal of Medicine, known for their scientific rigor and prominence in the field of life sciences. Furthermore, I claim no ties to any of the groups involved in any shape or form, and my personal research does not make use of lentiviral vectors. I wrote this article as a way of explaining potential uses of lentiviral vectors in retinal gene therapy, but do not use them in my personal, original research. Please check the sources for the validity of the article, and if there are any other comments or concerns, please contact me. I assure you this article does not report original research and does not violate any terms of agreement.

- Hi, Chuck. My concern with the article is that it reads more like a scientific paper than an encyclopedia article, so it may have looked to me as if it was a paper that would be more at home in a research journal than here. I honestly can't say I have much problem with the article after reading your explanation, though you may want to make sure that the article is as accessible to a general audience. All the best, TheLetterM (talk) 20:14, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
I have nominated Retinal gene therapy using lentiviral vectors, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Retinal gene therapy using lentiviral vectors. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
