Intentions on Blitzkrieg page

[edit]

I am not trying to pursue an agenda, I'm just trying to put to bed some of the falsehoods and myths concerning the subject. The lies and poorly researched books along with assmuptions of various old authors only serve to preserve the ignorance that surrounds 'Blitzkrieg'. The irony is the Germans praticed a more Blitzkrieg style in the German wars of unification and First World War than the Second World War. Infact most of the German military thought 'Blitzkrieg' (for lack of a better word), was based on flawed premise and sought to avoid it in planning for the next war. It was the victory over France that led them to reverse their initial (correct) opinion. Natuarlly, the French campaign was won through luck and a massively incompetent enemy. The Germans failed to realise this. Dapi89 (talk) 14:31, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and thank you for your interest in WP. The matter of language and tone in a section referring to SA in this article has been tagged since May 2010, but may have been satisfactorily addressed by interval modifications. Unless there are objections, I will remove the tag in 10 days. You provided specific suggestions on the discussion page, and your further thoughts are accordingly solicited.FeatherPluma (talk) 20:18, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey folks -- I can't control what everybody else in this building does, but I've been editing Wikipedia without controversy for years. Can we tar with a bit narrower brush please? Chronodm (talk) 17:32, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Read up on WP:AUTOBLOCK; you'll see it hasn't anything to do with "broad brushes". --jpgordon::==( o ) 17:38, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Pardon me. Next time I will use the phrase "collateral damage" instead. Chronodm (talk) 17:41, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's what we usually call it, and that's why we immediately remove the autoblocks when they are called to our attention by an obvious good-faith editor such as yourself. --jpgordon::==( o ) 19:09, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
