Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Tina Matthews has been reverted.
Your edit here to Tina Matthews was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sa_0DxPpPRw) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Christina Matthews. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Tina Matthews, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID). Thank you. Dan arndt (talk) 00:20, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

[edit]

Hi there, I put some new links to several of my books- one through Walker books and the other is self published so links to my own website for further information about it. This has resulted in a Conflict of Interest box coming up on the page. Also the link to a youtube clip has been removed. Please help me with... Removing CoI box . As the book Do What You're Doing is self published I can't link anywhere but my own website. I don't seem to be able to remove box myself but feel there is not a conflict as no one is being paid to promote something or edit in my favour. Does that make sense? Sorry- I'm new to making changes to my page. I didn't create it originally but have added things as my work changed. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Hello, thanks for your inquiry. Our guideline on conflict of interest editing recommends that people who are subjects of Wikipedia articles should not edit those articles directly, but should suggest changes on the article's talk page. Conflict of interest is not strictly financial: you have a potential conflict of interest if you edit articles about yourself or people you have a close personal or business relationship with, even if you are not being paid for those edits. If you are being paid to edit, our policy requires that you disclose your paid relationship, but I interpret that that is not the case here. Someone has identified your edits to Tina Matthews as possibly promotional, and the tag is there to suggest to other editors that the content of the page may need to be reviewed. Please have a look at our plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and if that leaves you with more questions then please ask here or on the talk page of the article. Thanks. Editing

[edit]

Hi Tina. I edit a number of Wikipedia pages on NZ Musicians from the Crocodiles era and thereabouts including several of your ex-bandmates. I wouldn't mind editing your page and dealing with the conflict of interest issue. From a read of your page, I would change the language a bit and perhaps some details are perhaps just a bit specific for an encyclopaedia page. However, the page would mostly stay as it is. What do you think? Ross-c (talk) 09:00, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Ross . I'd be really happy for you to do that. as i say, I didn't put up the original page and have just modified it to be more relevant to my current occupation. But none of it really encyclopaedia worthy! However I would appreciate you making it more appropriate to Wikipedia style and content rules. Sounds good. I've pinged the person who created your page in the first place. It might be best to discuss this on the talk page for Tina Matthews. Ross-c (talk) 22:10, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
