'See also' lists

[edit]

Hi, and Welcome to Wikipedia. I notice that you've created a whole lot of 'See also' lists on exploration topics. I don't want to rain on your party too much when you're new, but I have to admit that on the whole I find 'See also' lists generally something to be minimised. If I say that I considered reverting all the additions, you will understand the concern. It would be far better to have a brief paragraph of introductory text in an article saying 'In the 19th century, [[List of explorers|explorers]] from Europe travelled to .... and ... and did this and that ...<ref>Adams, 1923. p 123</ref>' than to dump more or less identical 'see also' lists all over the place. I suspect, also, that you may be trying to 'publicise' the museum you have linked, for whatever reason. This is generally a poor move, specially just using the 'see also' list, as it looks hasty and as if you are 'selling' a point of view. So perhaps you will consider slimming down some of these lists. I look forward to your reply. Chiswick Chap (talk) 04:13, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
