National Geographic Channel Incorrect
I attempted to clear up a lot of the mistakes you have on the National Geographic Channel page -but you removed them. The site is way off - its mixing US and International (which have separate ownership structures).
US Tagline is Dare to Explore (think Again only used overseas) US structures is 70% Fox Cable Networks, 30% National Geographic Ventures
that's only the beginning. I would suggest allowing changes to the site rather than trying to own something that is wrong.

71.112.7.212 Issues
No problem on the revert. 71.112.7.212 is a troll and a loon. If he spent half the time he spends trying to "cover his ass" and channeled it into positive contributions, I think everyone would be happy and agree he's learned his lesson. But he's simply an idiot. Sorry if that flies in the face of WP:CIV, but I'll gladly take the heat for saying that because this user's non-blocked existance baffles me and makes the life of many editors on Wiki harder for no valid reason. Good luck in your Wiki contributions and thanks for the appreciation. --BaseballDetective 05:37, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

The Music Factory
If you actually have either Foxtel Digital or Optus TV Featuring Foxtel Digital, then go to channel 812 and you'll see that "The Music Factory" is currently running in preview mode ahead of it's official launch on Tuesday April 10, 2007. And that's also how I found out about it, all by doing a channel surf.
- Foxtel (Satellite at least) is not currently running any preview for TMF, or intending to launch TMF. It is an exclusive arrangement with Optus Digital subscribers. MTV used to be and still may be an exclusive Optus channel which is why I believe Foxtel hasn't started it yet. Foxtel might not have the rights yet or something along those lines I'd say. If anyone has any more info on this situation please post it!

Recent Aida (musical) mods
I'd like to understand why you recently removed the Other Productions section. I agree with your basic comment Wiki is "not a place for advertising" and the info was added not as advertising but as a historical record that there are other productions of the play. If we wish to be consistent, then the entire listing of locations and dates for the Aida tour (and other Wikis ... see Josh Groban, for example) should be removed. I don't understand why it's okay to keep one and get rid of the other. Perhaps the "at 7pm" made the other productions sound like advertising ... if so, that could have been removed and the historical record kept.
By the way, some of the "Other Productions" info was already there when I did my edits. I added a separate section to differentiate it from the touring company, and compressed the listed performances into a single line for each location, consistent with those listed for the touring company. It was my expectation that others could add items to this list in the future and expand/preserve the historical record. Perhaps you'd like to reconsider your edits? Thanks. Thanks for reverting on Bo Taylor
I've been trying to deal with this user's vandalism for the past two days and it just keeps getting worse. I finally reported him on the Administrator Intervention Against Vandalism page. I hope that helps, although he also seems to be doing a lot of vandalism via anonymous IP addresses. --Proofreader J-Man 01:09, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Re: Thanks for reverting on Bo Taylor
No problem :) If it has not already been reported, what's the IP address he's using? Chrisch 01:11, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, there are several:
- 71.247.182.92
- 71.195.67.241
- 71.247.196.225
- 71.247.183.94
- 71.247.153.60
- 71.247.174.53
- 71.247.165.54
- That takes us as far back as 3/20/07. There are more before that (check out the history page of Bo Taylor). I don't know enough about how IP addresses work to understand how you would report one of them. I noticed that almost all begin with 71.247 if that means something. --Proofreader J-Man 01:19, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for all your help! It looks like someone finally deleted Bo Taylor, but I'll bet you anything he tries to recreate it (as he did with WHAA-TV). They didn't delete his other "figment of his imagination" articles, but the subst-prod tags are still on (for the time being.) So far no evidence that they plan to block him, and my comment on the Adminstrator Intervention page is no longer there. --Proofreader J-Man 01:54, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Changes to Foxtel article
Hi Chrisch,
Thanks for the info. I made the changes to the Movie channel names because they are typed without using CAPS in every other situation (EPG, channel websites, channel articles, reviews etc). If you're determined to use the Foxtel channel list as the one and only source for channel naming, then maybe you need to change Arena, World Movies, Foxtel Box Office, Fox Sports, The Comedy Channel etc all to CAPS aswell. All things aside though, it's stupid that some are in caps and some aren't. I think Foxtel used this method for their analogue services, but now only a hand full of channels are in CAPS officially, like ARENA, FUEL TV, MAX and anything abbreviated. And I say officially by looking at my Foxtel box EPG which in my opinion would be more updated than Foxtel's aging website. I reckon we should change them. Love to hear your thoughts. :)

I can understand your reverting the Nextstage edits (which removed all the non-existent wiki links) but you also deleted my addition that provided a summary of the "Current U.S. national non-Equity touring cast (2006)" section. If that was intended, would you please include that in your Edit Summary. As a side note, it seems that the entire list of cities and venues have been added back in by an unknown user, even though they were (correctly, in my opinion) removed earlier. My summary was intended to be a fair and noteworthy replacement of the list. I have added a comment to the article's Talk page which, hopefully, will resolve that. Grey is not a Padua school colour
You said over half the padua uniform colour is grey, this is true, but by that logic, pretty much every school in brisbane should also have their school colours down as grey, because thats how the brisbane private schools uniforms look.
If you look on any piece of Paduan sporting clothing, which uses the true Paduan colours of brown, gold and white, there will be no grey. That is because grey is not a colour of the fransiscans and not a colour of Padua College. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 203.45.131.93 (talk) 04:31, 25 April 2007 (UTC).
RE: report to AIV - Jade Goody
Thank-you for reporting a vandal to AIV. In the future, please use the correct reporting format - simply stating their username and a description isn't very helpful, as it creates more work for admins in fixing your post before they are able to block. - My apologies - thought I had used the correct format, but can see now the mistake I made. Perhaps formats should be explained in the Editor instructions on the page, rather than just in the edit notes? Rgds, - Trident13 09:06, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
In that case, will Marist College Ashgrove's school colours be changed to grey blue and gold as well? Seeing as their socks are grey, their shirt is grey or white and so are the shorts/slacks.
Just trust me on this one, it pains me to see grey there. I was a former student of Padua, still coach sport at Padua, and my father has worked there for nearly 15 years. Grey is not a paduan school colour

Hi, the reason I removed the 3 categories was that an article should not normally be in both a category and a subcategory (WP:SUBCAT). Since the article is already in Category:Australian choirs I saw no reason to keep it in the parent categories (Category:Choirs and Category:Australian musical groups). As far as Category:Choral musical groups goes, it is a really small category that duplicates Category:Choirs and should be emptied and deleted in my opinion. I'd like to remove all three again, but if there is any special reason you think they should be kept send me a message. Best wishes/ Pax:Vobiscum 13:09, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Warnings on User talk:121.45.101.97
Thank you for your comment this user has been reported to WP:AIV by me already. I appreciate your point of view regarding further warnings - but do not entirely agree. Adding warnings maintains a record of the type of vandalism that such an address makes and if shared provides a legitimate user with an even greater reason not to be associated with the anon IP account but rather to create a user name.--VS talk 09:09, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

about the date formating
I hope this is the right place to answer. ISO 8601 date format is an international standard. Wikipedia is international. So i think it is best to use this formation so there will be no misunderstandings, like 03.04.05 could be DD-MM-JJ or JJ-MM-DD or MM-DD-JJ and so on. Also iso 8601 is sortable. Well i'm not sure who you are but i'm a player, i play for my school's first iv chess team. I've played for five years in the Aic which means i was there back in 03 when it kicked off. I've won premierships and received Aic penats just like every football or cricket player. I've written results for the sports pages of the newsletter. I report to the sportsmaster the succeses of my team. And while the Aic is always the gps, GPS chess results are published in the sports results section of the courier mail.
Despite all this the most compelling evidence i can present is my own experiences. When tactics fail gamesmenship prevails. I've seen rivalries, i've seen hatred between opponents, i've furiousness that can not be matched by contact sport.

Response to your censorship of my posting.
My posting on Iraq and Weapons of Mass Destruction where you censored the objectively true statements: "Great controversy was generated when stockpiles of these weapons were not found in large numbers. Small numbers of weapons created prior to the 1991 Gulf War have been located, including artilliary shells designed to hold chemical weapons and mustard gas." with the objectively false statements: "Great controversy was generated when stockpiles of these weapons were not found."
Please note the following links which contain news stores and U.S. Congressional data which substantiate the information I posted and show the information you posted to be obejctively false:
News Stories: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=50746 http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,120137,00.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,1120720,00.html http://www.spacewar.com/2004/040701203743.9i07uh3m.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,120268,00.html
U.S. Congressional Report: http://www.wnd.com/redir/r.asp?http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/Iraq_WMD_Declassified.pdf
These items together show evidence that 1) chemical weapons including mustard gas and artilliary shells designed to hold chemical weapons were found in Iraq, 2) these weapons were of a limited number (aproximately 500 as of June 2006's Congressional report), and 3) these weapons were created prior to the 1991 Gulf War.
Combined this makes my statement to be unambiguously and objectively true. It makes the statement you reverted to to be unambiguously and objectively false. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.216.117.86 (talk) 03:59, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Small numbers of weapons created prior to the 1991 Gulf War have been located, including artilliary shells designed to hold chemical weapons, sarin nerve agent and mustard gas.[1]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:TTT.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:TTT.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:28, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Spam in QCC
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on QCC, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because QCC is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting QCC, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. vandalism?
I recieved a message from you with regards to me "vandalizing" the article for New Pittsburgh Arena. I have never edited that page, and frankly if I had actually vandalized it it would have been something clever and not just "porn palace."
If it was in fact a user with my IP address editing this article, I can assure you that it was neither me no anyone else in my household that was responsible for the vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.65.219.230 (talk) 20:45, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

While we look into this further I have granted you an IP block exemption. As suggested on that page, please don't go using any anonymising proxies for now. Hi! I noticed that you brought back the two tags in that article. Those issues have now been resolved (hopefully, it was a headache for me at least) and the author will try to turn it into a good-looking article. So, why did you place again those tags? Your request for rollback
After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback can be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback may be removed at any time.
If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. That my edit in the 25 December page was just a test to see how long would it take for someone to notice it. I did it because I wanted to make sure Wikipedia can efficiently defend itself from vandalism before deciding on contributing to it. Hi Chrisch. I am leaving you a quick note to inform you that you are just about to violate 3RR and are currently involved in a edit war. I ask that instead of continually reverting (assuming you have tried communication as you have) you either 1) file a report at WP:AN/EW 2) request a third opinion 3) consider other forms of dispute resolution or 4) consider starting a thread at WP:ANI. The one thing you do not want to do is continually revert, and be warned that continuing to revert will result in a block. Second issue is that you chose to use rollback on those edits when it was clear they were not vandalism, and as such you could have your rollback privileges removed. I am going to assume good faith here in hopes this will not escalate, but if it does and you continue to use rollback I will remove it. I am also going to be leaving a note with the other user and will block if needed. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 06:25, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

DB schenker / Schenker AG
Hello
Please note the changes to EWS article and the rebranding of that business to DB schenker, please note that DB schenker and Schenker AG though closely related (EWS has inherited the schenker name) are not the same organisation.
Hence I attempted to creat a stub for this company.
http://www.dbschenker.com/site/logistics/dbschenker/com/en/schenkerag/schenkerag.html
"Schenker AG is the parent company of over 100 subsidiaries spread throughout the world and is one of the central pillars of DB Schenker"
It seems that Deutche Bahn has used the schenker name it now 'owns' as one of its subsidaries in a closely related subsidary - did that make sense?
Could you possibly revert your revert?
UPDATE
I've made the changes myself -please see the german language wiki pages for more details of the differences between the two organisations. I've included a language link on the db schenker page to the german version - you will see that there are articles for both companies for a reason.
Clearly the DB schenker article is still a stub, but there is not much I can do at present - especially given the uncertainty regarding the rebranding of railion and the current event status of the rebranding of ews.
Please add to this article if you can.
Also note that the schenker AG article may now require updating given the rebranding. I am not an expert in this area so will not attempt this myself.
Thank you for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.102.88.238 (talk) 14:52, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Buddhist Nation
What is up with your warning on Buddhist Nation???
Do you not think people looking for Buddhist countries would type "buddhist nation" or something???
And why does it deserve a warning???
70.29.208.129 (talk) 06:39, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
- The article in question has been proposed for deletion for advertising, so I doubt your edit will have remained anyway.
ChrischTalk 06:43, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
- You gave me a warning for it. Why? And why does it matter that it's been prodded? If a person looking for "Buddhist countries" typed it it, they still wouldn't find it. Giving this sort of warning out seems like you want a WP:AN or something. Especially, since you haven't removed it. 70.29.208.129 (talk) 06:46, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
To do what you are trying to achieve, it would be better to create a redirect on the currently non-existent page Buddhist nations or Buddhist countries (as you just suggested) rather than on a Buddhist Nation topic article, which wouldn't particularly be used as a search topic anyway, as it is improper English when speaking in multiples, and there are more than one nations relating to Buddhism.
I have decided not to dispute your editing test further, and will leave it up to other editors to determine its suitability, should the article actually be allowed to remain.
Have a good day :)
ChrischTalk 06:53, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps you should try typing in "buddhist nation" into the search box and see what you get. Then you can read WP:SINGULAR and Wikipedia:Hatnote, and familiarize yourself with disambiguation, since you still claim that being helpful is testing. 70.29.208.129 (talk) 06:56, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

I did not log in to my account and was instead given an IP address which stated I had made several changes to Wikipedia articles which I had definately not. However I have made a change to the Marjorie Yates article which was simply correcting a expired IMDB link. However you have changed it, and reverted it back to the expired link?? I don't know why! Anyway you obviously must know best so I'm leaving it in your capable hands to correct this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrisjayhaych (talk • contribs) 09:38, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
hello again,
Interesting. I checked the University's web page after your message and indeed they have -wrongly- translated it as "Royal School of Arts" there. This is a typical confusion among native Greeks with moderate English skills, because the greek word "τέχνη" applies both to "craft" and "art".
In Greek, in order to differentiate between the two the term "καλές τέχνες" ("good arts") is used for the Arts (leading to the French "Beaux-Arts" and the English "Fine Arts", an obvious redundancy in these languages). The english wikipedia entry for this also states "Techne, or techné, as distinguished from episteme, is etymologically derived from the Greek word τέχνη (Ancient Greek: IPA: [tékʰnεː], Modern Greek Ell-Techni.ogg [ˈtexni] (help·info)) which is often translated as craftsmanship, craft, or art."
[[4]]
In this case is obvious that the term is the Royal School of Crafts as "It was then named the "Royal School of Arts", a part-time vocational school (Sundays and Holidays only) with the purpose of training craftsmen, builders and master craftsmen."
In any case, I see why you would want to keep the Royal School of Arts, as my alma matter has it like this in its website. I will try contacting them, though one usually does not have much luck with Greek public servants.
I apologize for any inconvenience, I did not mean to cause any problems -I am fairly aware of the difference between Arts and Crafts actually :)
Kind Regards
