Hi, ChrisWilliams1000, Welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay.

You may want to read about the Five pillars of Wikipedia and simplified ruleset.

If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions.

For help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style.

If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ.

If you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)!

There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library.

Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal.

Feel free to post questions on my user talk page or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will be by to help you shortly.

If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you. You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.

You may want to add yourself to the new user log.

If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.

On IRC, check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.

If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

PS: This is not a bot and you did nothing to prompt this message. This is just a friendly welcome by a fellow Wikipedian.

Okay, it seems everyone is being too harsh with you (and seem to be forgetting a certain guideline…), so first of all Welcome! Since you appear to be a Lord of the Rings hobbyist (obviously), I added this template to your userpage:

Having information on your userpage help Wikipedians to get to know you and your interests. You can see my userpage, for example, and if you have any questions, please leave a message! :)

About your article on The Last Alliance, you did good work on rectifying the problems with the article, especially with the addition of citation, and I did some more to clean it up. However, I still feel it is likely to be deleted by vote, but I will try and merge relevant material into Games Workshop Online Community. Also, I have copied the article to your userpage; see User:ChrisWilliams1000/The Last Alliance (Website). I am not sure about the technicalities regarding this, but I understand that it is permissible to keep an article draft on a subpage of the userpage (I saw User:Uthanc do this before).

I hope this helps! --Grimhelm 19:59, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, from what I can see, you became inactive on the One Ring shortly before I joined, so this is my first introduction (although I have to say I like the assault boats in your gallery).
I also regret to inform you that the TLA article has been deleted, which is sad because a lot of time must has been put into it… However, if you continue editing Wikipedia, here are some things you may find helpful: "UTC" stands for "Coordinated Universal Time", which is effectively the same as GMT (Greenwich Meantime). When signing your name, it can be done quickly with four tildes: ~~~~
This automatically adds the date to your signature. Another important thing to know is that double-brackets are used only when linking to an article on the site; eg. [[Article|article name]] appears as "article name". When you are linking using the http address, just the single bracket is requred; eg. [http://www.google.com/ Google] equals "Google".
All the best. --Grimhelm 00:12, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just merged some of the material into Games Workshop Online Community#The Last Alliance, so you might want to read it to make sure it's correct. Was White Dwarf 300 the UK or the US edition? --Grimhelm 15:02, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Review

[edit]

The Last Alliance is currently going through deletion review at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2006 October 25, if you would care to comment. --Grimhelm 00:49, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
