Gerhartsreiter etc.
[edit]Hi, thanks for your contributions to the Christian Gerhartsreiter article. Unfortunately, I've had to revert the changes for several reasons:
- Each article is about one person, not all people with a certain name. If there is more than one person with a certain name, there should be multiple articles, as there are for example for Peter Jones. See WP:DAB.
- Articles should show that their subject is notable. I have no idea whether Chris Chichester the journalist is notable, but if an article is created for him, it should demonstrate notability following the criteria in the link I shared.
- Given your user name, it looks like you may be Chris Chichester the journalist, in which case you should familiarize yourself with our conflict of interest policy.
- Inline references to external Web resources are rarely a good idea. See WP:EL.
Thanks again for your contribution. We look forward to seeing you here as a contributor. --Macrakis (talk) 17:22, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Off-wiki contact
[edit]Please do not contact me off this wiki, as you did with your messages on Facebook.
Re the substance of your comments:
- I don't doubt that you are named Chris Chichester, and I don't doubt that Christian Gerhartsreiter's actions have harmed you.
- However, editing articles in violation of Wikipedia's policies is not the way to address that.
- I received a Ph.D. from Harvard in 1986. Here is Harvard's catalog record for my dissertation, if you want to check.

Hello! There is a DR/N request you may have interest in.
[edit]This message is being sent to let you know of a discussion at the Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding a content dispute discussion you may have participated in. [edit]I have previously asked you not to contact me off Wikipedia. But you sent me a long screed at my personal email address (see User talk:Macrakis for more detail). Don't do that. The email was in the form of a letter to Wikipedia, as though you sent it to the Wikipedia foundation, but it's not clear where, so I don't know what forum to reply in.
And by the way, neither I nor anyone else has blanked the Christian Gerhartsreiter page recently. --Macrakis (talk) 14:21, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
