The owner of this account is suspected of abusively using multiple accounts.
(Account information: block log · CentralAuth · suspected sockpuppets · confirmed sockpuppets) |
- Look, you cannot use multiple accounts in the manner in which you're doing. This is a severe form of vandalism and will result in the loss of your edit privileges. Your IP may also be blacklisted for spamming. Trying to help. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 14:39, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Spam in Covington's Cycle City
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Covington's Cycle City, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Covington's Cycle City is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Covington's Cycle City, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 15:05, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
OK, let's try a different tactic here. I am going to go on the assumption that you are Jerry Covington himself. If you are, you would be among the few editors here who actually deserve and rate an article on himself and his accomplishments. You'd therefore be most welcomed. However, writing about yourself brings up some conflict of interest issues. Trying to avoid blocks brought on by self-promotion constitutes vandalism. I have no prejudice whatsoeve against the article on the shop; it's clearly notable. The tactic you're using to get the article posted is simply against the rules. I hope this helps you to see where I'm coming from. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:10, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Sockpuppetry case
[edit]You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Covingtons (2nd nomination) for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. ukexpat (talk) 15:16, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Hang on...
[edit]If you want to contribute, I'll gladly help you. However, you started off on the wrong foot with a promotional username. Username blocks are easily lifted; instructions are in the template. The problem we've had relates to the multiple attempts on your part to evade the block in the first place. Pick a single account and use that account to edit. This has been a real mess, but let's see if we can clean it up. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:30, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
"Wikipedia needs to create a business directory section"
[edit]Actually, no, it doesn't. A business directory is one of the many things which "Wikipedia is not..."! Our goal is to have reference articles on the world's most notable persons and things. Most companies don't fit those criteria. --Orange Mike | Talk 15:38, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
