Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Cholderbreit. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Mary Engelbreit, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You have said you are an employee of Mary Engelbreit. Please follow the guidance above, and do not edit the article directly. You can request edits on the article's Talk page. Tacyarg (talk) 18:16, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I only added a brand (Mary) approved photo of her. Before there was nothing there. Per the information above, since I am one of her employees it would be conflict of interest to share images of her or approved artwork to display an example of her works? I wouldn't be editing any text. Also Where do I disclose my employment information? Cholderbreit (talk) 14:51, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, the "how to disclose" link above will explain where to disclose your CoI. Tacyarg (talk) 20:11, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
