IHS logo
[edit]I have replaced File:IHS logo.jpg that you uploaded with File:IHS logo.png. Under Wikipedia's fair use policy, images used under a claim of fair use are to be web resolution. Also, it is preferable to use PNG files for logos as an aesthetic matter because they are lossless and can have a transparent background. --B (talk) 15:22, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- I have selected JPEG, because in this case the file has half of the size. Normally I prefer SVG, but it wasn't usefull here. Your transparent background of the PNG is nice. In your PNG the rounded R is not identifiable any more. If that is no problem in case of the fair use policy, I don't see any reason to keep the JPEG anymore. -- Chjb (talk) 16:04, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know that the (R) is necessarily a problem, but I redid it a tad bit larger so that it is visible now. I agree that svg is best, but I don't have the skills to remake this logo in svg. I checked the original PDF and it was a compressed raster image (not a vector image), so we can't really get blood from a turnip. --B (talk) 18:13, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Lauterbach Development Tools logo.svg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Lauterbach Development Tools logo.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:25, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
