[edit]Hello, I'm Ttwaring. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Black triangle (UFO), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hi I see you've made changes to the page at Young M.A and didn't understand the reason for my revert. When that happens, rather than adding it back in immediately, a good place to start is the talk page for the article--in this case, it has a notice indicating there's been further discussion of how policies for biographies of living people apply to this article, which you can read here: Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard/Archive247#Young_M.A:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard/Archive247#Young_M.A. Looking through the article's edit history is also often a good way to find out whether this issue has been discussed in the past. Or, I see you've just pinged me which is also a great thing to do if you don't understand another editor's actions--thanks! I hope these links will help clarify Wikipedia policy on this entry, but feel free to let me know if you have any follow-up questions! Happy editing. Innisfree987 (talk) 01:29, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
Thank you I am new, thank you because I was confused and concerned, I see where I made a mistake. Have a great day. Chinathedog (talk) 03:08, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Totally understand! It was really one of the biggest surprises to me when I first started editing, finding out there's a whole system of requiring sources and other policies on information added to the encyclopedia--it's definitely not obvious! Please feel free to drop me a line if I can help with any other questions you run across--lots of folks helped me get oriented when I was starting out and I am always really happy when I can help out in return. Welcome! Innisfree987 (talk) 04:36, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
Adminship
[edit]Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your enthusiasm in requesting adminship! Unfortunately you are very unlikely to pass at this stage - we normally expect users to have been around for over a year, and to have made 10,000+ edits. For more information, please see this page. Please don't get discouraged, there's plenty you can do to help without being an administrator. How about taking a look at the Counter-Vandalism Unit Academy? Feel free to ask me any questions you may have -- Samtar talk · contribs 20:50, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
Ok I thank you for notifying me as fast as you can. Sorry if I didn't respond in time I was offline for a couple of hours. I will look into the Counter-Vandalism unit academy. And are there any other groups or things that I can join to prevent vandalism. And I now understand that users have to be qualified and etc. thank you and have a great day 🙂.
