Recording

[edit]

I remember when I made a recording for the three-men-make-a-tiger article, I was pretty hungry. So, I wanted to finish the recording real quick and went to lunch. :-) You can actually hear that I said one of the sentences really fast. I finished the recording in 15 minutes! But of course, the longer time you take, the better is the quality of the recordings. If you mess up a take, don't worry about it. Calm down, chillax, drink some water (or beer!) and try again. :-) Furthermore, it is a better idea to speak slower. That can sometimes avoid mistakes. (That is to say, don't make any recordings when you are hungry!)

Actually, I only started making the recordings recently. I don't have a lot of experience either. But anyway, the "Spoken article" project is really cool. Give it a try! We may share our experiences some time.

I am pretty interested in making recordings for the articles that are related to Chinese culture. I see that your username also contains the word "China." Are you also pretty interested in Chinese culture?

I listened to your version of 3 men make a tiger. The audio sounds good to me, How long did it take you to record this? I tried to make a recording for Saturn V but I get stressed and make a lot of mistakes. I hope your experience was better. :-D --Chinakow 08:58, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

RE:Sources in Through the Fire and Flames

[edit]

The only reason I have requested sceondary sources and fact tags for two facts in the music video section of the article is because there has been so much backing and forthing on the details of the two facts: what Totman was drinking, and what the flying piece of metal from Herman's guitar was. -- saberwyn 06:32, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies. The fact that Totman is drinking in the video clip is no problem, that is verifiable through the primary source (the video). What he is drinking is a point of contention, and my view was this information (if included in the article) should be sourced independantly of the video clip. Again, with the flying piece of metal... what it is should have an independant source. -- saberwyn 09:59, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
