This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of St. Leonides, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/09179a.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 00:46, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Wendy Waldman, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Keane and Gary Nicholson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your have been reported

[edit]

I regret to serve notice that I reported you to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents, under the category: Belligerent and Inappropriate Behavior from Editors. Of the two of you that I reported, I do think you seem more genuine and probably a better person, but you did lash out at other posters and assume bad faith. 2601:249:9301:FF80:A107:1D80:84AC:9A1B (talk) 00:55, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Are you the guy from the "Sound of Freedom" talk page who has been using a proxy to mask his IP address? I see from your talk page that this particular IP address has already been disciplined -- despite its having existed for just one day. That's pretty impressive!
You are way ahead of me: I have never once been disciplined (or even reported) in my 15 years on Wikipedia. That might be because I genuinely love and respect Wikipedia, I do my best to follow the rules, and I've proven myself to be a legitimate editor with eleven original articles and thousands of edits to my credit -- as opposed, say, to being a troll who enters a community, doesn't respect the people in it, doesn't learn or follow the rules, and tries to smear legitimate editors with false accusations while hiding behind a proxy. Chillowack (talk) 04:38, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm neither a guy, a proxy, nor a troll, but I have only ever edited the Jacob Riis article, an article about a Rogers and Hammerstein song, and created one stub- aside from occasional grammar corrections- over a decade or so, so you've got me beat there. I'm happy that Wikipedia is the better for your contributions.
But you are also damaging Wikipedia by being rude to newcomers. Look at what you assumed about me. Have you ever considered how many people you may be driving away with your dismissive assumptions? Isn't one of the rules to assume good faith? I know it used to be.
On a humorous note, you can't really say you've never once been reported anymore, since I did report you. I would apologize, but judging from your comment above, I hardly think you care. And not to worry, I was banned for three months, for 'evading a block'- strange, since I never was blocked a first time. Perhaps they thought I was a proxy too.
Either way, I find this community... less than appealing, which is why I participate so infrequently- and why I will always remain an IP editor. But good for you that you are able to find it rewarding. All the best. 2601:249:9301:FF80:19C9:D43:A686:BBAA (talk) 03:47, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome back to Wikipedia. I hope your ban served its purpose, by allowing you to reflect on your behavior and make the necessary adjustments. I don't like to hold grudges, but I do want to point out that it was you who attacked me, by "reporting" me -- an inappropriate action IMHO, which I believe was correctly disciplined. However: I also see you "sort of" offering an apology here, and although you don't quite go all the way with it, I do appreciate the "glancing" mention at least; so if you're agreeable, I'm willing to let bygones be bygones, and move forward with a clean slate. No hard feelings? Chillowack (talk) 04:02, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
None at all. Pax. And thank you for the generous welcome back. 2601:249:9301:FF80:19C9:D43:A686:BBAA (talk) 04:43, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
