I am sorry for making that impostor account out of Marchjuly, and I promise I won't make any malicious sockpuppets again. Chili The Border Collie (talk) 12:35, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

I'm going to go ahead and accept your statement and your promise to not create a sock puppet account again, and I'm going to unblock you. Please do not do this again. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:11, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Done. We'll be holding you to this promise. Any further violation of Wikipedia's sock puppetry policy will result in an indefinite block. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:12, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks! -- Chili The Border Collie (talk) 00:31, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Welcome!
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, Chili The Border Collie, and welcome to Wikipedia! I have noticed that you are fairly new! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I also see that some of your recent edits show an interest in the use of images and/or photos on Wikipedia.
Did you know that ...
- ...Wikipedia has a very stringent image use policy?
- ...most images from Flickr, online news websites, and other web sources are copyrighted?
- ...Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously?
- ...freely-licensed images should be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, a central location for images where they can be used on all Wikipedia projects?
- ...we recommend that new users use our "files for upload" process - at least until you get the hang of things?
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{Help me}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

[edit]Wrong category
[edit]I'm sorry I added the wrong category on the American Staffordshire Terrier page. I just got confused by the infobox.
--Chili The Border Collie (talk) 11:11, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
- No, Chili The Border Collie, your addition is good; it led me to remove the other one. :Dog breeds originating in the United States. Thanks for posting here! ‑ ‑ Gareth Griffith‑Jones The Welsh Buzzard ‑ ‑ 16:11, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
Hello!
[edit]Hi there! First, wanted to say that I love the username and your userpage's dog pictures - I have a Border Collie mix of some sort named Oreo. I also wanted to let you know that I'm going to be undoing your recent additions of the category "Dog breed" to several pages (that's how I noticed you - I have Border Collie and Australian Shepherd on my watchlist). Your change isn't wrong, it's just that it's redundant to other categories on the same page - most or all have the category "Dog breeds originating in (country)," which is a subcategory of "Dog breeds," and we prefer not to have two categories on a page when one is a subcategory of the other. If you have any further questions, feel free to reply here (and type {{ping|creffett}}
, which will alert me that there's a message for me). Happy editing! creffett (talk) 12:36, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:51, 16 December 2020 (UTC)- Oof, okay then. I don't use Wikipedia much anyway, due to strict policies (especially the image policy), but sorry about that. I won't do it again. ;-; Also, that account was to get my revenge on him for removing the Futurama images from my userpage and thinking they're the same image. -- Chili The Border Collie (talk) 02:08, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Chili The Border Collie - C'mon man... you know that doing what you did was highly against policy... Why would you resort to doing such a thing when you know that you should peacefully discuss it with the user? :-( ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:42, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Look, I'm happy to hear you out if you wish to ask for an unblock (just follow the instructions above), and I'll be willing to reduce the block duration. You just can't be doing that, Chili The Border Collie... sock puppetry is not acceptable. We're here to build an encyclopedia, and that behavior is in direct conflict of what we're trying to do. :-( ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:44, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, I understand. I'll go ahead and add the template to my talk page. -- Chili The Border Collie (talk) 12:34, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
