Satō
[edit]When transliterating the given or surnames of modern Japanese figures, such as Takeru Satō, the individual's chosen transliteration of the name is given precedence over the Hepburn romanization. As such, the page should be located at Takeru Satoh, which is where it was prior to your move. Please do not move the page or any other page, again, without full knowledge of nomenclature policies.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 08:05, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
I do see that his talent profile uses the spelling "Takeru Sato" over "Takeru Satoh". However, the blog use is more personal and should be used as the meter for how Wikipedia transliterates the name. This was once done with Shouma Yamamoto who once referred to himself as Syouma Yamamoto on his blog for a period of time. Again, before moving pages, please go over policy or bring it up on the article's talk page. Your contributions to Satoh's article are welcomed and very well written, though. Thank you for improving the coverage of this actor's career.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 08:10, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Hi, yeah sorry about that! I was new to Wikipedia, so didn't really know the rules. My fault for not finding out. But it's just that it has on his Amuse [his talent agency] profile Sato. And I know it's spelt as Satoh on his blog, but I don't think he designed the graphics for his own blog. So that's why I changed it. I apologise once again. I'm glad you liked my contributions though. But thanks for pointing out to me my mistakes. I'm still trying to learn here. —Cherryblossom19_09 23:22, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
