[edit]

Blue warning icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Amortias (T)(C) 16:47, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Chokha, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Burka. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:58, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits at Chokha

[edit]

Hi, I'm elemimele. I notice that you tagged this [1] recent edit at Chokha as minor. This was incorrect. The "minor" tag should be reserved for things like punctuation and spelling corrections, and uncontroversial changes of format. Anything that changes the ethnicity of a person, or adds genuine information is not minor. In fact ethnicity is sometimes hugely controversial. Best wishes! Elemimele (talk) 14:43, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Cherkezy: just a note that the appropriate process for changing the title of a page is Wikipedia:Requested moves. Ibadibam (talk) 22:47, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Ibadibam: I know that but it was taking too long and i thought i could move it but didnt consider other things such as moving history section.

Edit summaries

[edit]

Hi! Please don't use edit summaries to attack or criticise other editors, as you did for example here and here. Please take care to observe our policy, which says: "Do not make personal attacks anywhere on Wikipedia. Comment on content, not on the contributor. Personal attacks harm the Wikipedia community and the collaborative atmosphere needed to create a good encyclopedia ... Repeated or egregious personal attacks may lead to sanctions including blocks or even bans. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:28, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Tatar Beshmet.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Tatar Beshmet.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
