Welcome, Chemicalnasties!
Here are some useful tips to ease you into the Wikipedia experience:
- First, take a look at the Wikipedia Tutorial, and perhaps dabble a bit in the test area.
- When you have some free time, take a look at the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines. They can come in very handy!
- Learn about some of the Wikipedia landmarks by trying our Wikipedia scavenger hunt!
- If you need any help, feel free to post a question at the Help Desk
- Wikipedia has a vibrant community of editors. The village pump is a great place to see the goings on.
- Remember to use a neutral point of view!
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Also, here are some odds and ends that I find useful from time to time:
Feel free to ask me anything the links and talk pages don't answer. You can most easily reach me by posting on my talk page.
You can sign your name on any page by typing 4 tildes, likes this: ~~~~.
Best of luck, and have fun! ClockworkSoul 03:23, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Whata delightfully unpleasant editorial subject you are/have - your edits at Zig Zag were noted - if you wanna put refs in - theres gotta be the ref thing below as well - obviously it didnt work if you tried to put the one at the top - and it didnt have the one at the bottom - happy editing - SatuSuro 00:30, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. One or more of the external links you added in this edit to Sulfur mustard do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. You may wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. James086Talk | Email 08:15, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Grayfell. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Sex position, because it seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Video is also a WP:COPYVIO. Grayfell (talk) 21:40, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Anal sex. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Seriously, stop adding WP:COPYVIO links. You will be banned if you keep it up. Grayfell (talk) 21:46, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Anilingus. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Video
[edit]The YouTube link to the documentary appears to be a copyright violation. To put it bluntly, this is not a negotiable policy. Even if the documentary is a great thing to include, that link cannot be used. If you can find a video posted by the copyright holder (and not by an anonymous 1-upload YouTube account), or with explicit permission of the copyright holder, then it can be considered. A proper fair use argument might possibly also work. It's not about censorship, and it's not about trying to restrict information out of prudishness or whatever. Grayfell (talk) 22:27, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
- I apologize for not making this clearer from the beginning. People very often try to sneak spammy things into articles about sexuality, and when I saw the YouTube channel, I figured it was more of the same. I should've looked a little closer and made myself a lot clearer. Again, sorry about that. Have a good one. Grayfell (talk) 22:49, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Australia's Deadliest Building Fire
[edit]The article Australia's Deadliest Building Fire has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- poorly written and no references, can't find the right CSD
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Lerdthenerd wiki defender 11:04, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello, Chemicalnasties. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Australia's Deadliest Building Fire, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kges1901 (talk) 11:40, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
William Booth Memorial Home fire
[edit]Hello - you may have noticed I've renamed the article you have created. It is now at the title William Booth Memorial Home fire (which suits Wikipedia naming conventions) and I've added it to some other categories (you'll find them at the bottom of the page). I've added a couple more references too. Hopefully people should stop nominating it for deletion now! Let me know if you need more assistance. -- Chuq (talk) 11:16, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
Thanks
