Secondary and tertiary
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Just a suggestion that Wikipedia really prefers citations to reviews and books. That preference is described in WP:SECONDARY and WP:TERTIARY. In the case of the diazonium to fluoride rxn, here are representative reviews that might replace some specialized literature:

Thanks for the heads up. Chemboyz (talk) 18:19, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
- Would it be better to not include more specialized information then (ie different counterions used)? I'd rather not look through reviews trying to find ones that cite these more specialized articles.

- You are more knowledgable than most on this area, so use your judgement. The main thing is that you enhanced an article.
- Every editor has slightly different and often evolving philosophy on what Wikipedia should be. To me, Wikipedia articles should present the big picture but hopefully with key details, perhaps of the type you added. On the other hand, some editors only add details, because they dont appreciate the vastness of the literature and the risks that the "big picture" can be drowned out with minutia. - Alright, thanks for the advice. Chemboyz (talk) 19:21, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
How to do art
[edit]Some tips on contributing art to Wiki-chem. OMIT words (and abbreviations), so that the artwork can be used in other language Wikipedia articles. English is for only a fraction of the readership and artwork moves around. BTW, "eq" is an English abbreviation for equation, not equiv. Check ACS Style guide. --Smokefoot (talk) 20:20, 19 August 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Homo-enolates
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Homo-enolates requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ~ Amkgp ✉ 18:57, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
