Welcome!

Hello, Chelseawoman, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

Also, thank you for the message on my user talk page. You certainly did the right thing to revert that edit. I haven't particularly been watching the Frank Lampard article so much as watching recent changes to all pages looking for vandalism - I went away for a break before the vandal did. There's some stuff about how vandalism is dealt with on Wikipedia at WP:VAND. It's suggested, but not compulsory, that when you revert vandalism you put a standard warning on the vandal's user talk page - vandals who persist past a final warning can be reported on WP:AIV so that an admin can make a judgement about whether to block them from editing for a while. Wiki e-mail

[edit]

Hi again! Just picking up on one point: Wiki e-mail (see WP:EMAIL) has some protection against spam. If you enable e-mail in Wiki other people can e-mail you but they can't see your e-mail address. Of course, if you then reply to them from your e-mail account, or you e-mail them via Wikipedia, then they can. I've only had a few Wiki e-mails and I've always chosen either not to reply or to do so in some other way. May 2008

[edit]

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: You may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Nothing personal… :) Properly placed warnings helps others to select suitable messages and escalate response if necessary. Skarebo (talk) 12:20, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
