January 2018
[edit]Hello, I'm 331dot. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Susan Collins, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 01:08, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
Message boards are almost never a reliable source. 331dot (talk) 01:09, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
Hi 331dot. Susan Collins is listed on the Wikipedia page, Spasmodic dysphonia, under "Notable Cases". There's no citation. Chazzyb31 (talk) 07:12, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
- If something is not cited to an independent reliable source, it should be removed; looking at Spasmodic dysphonia there is a citation to a video of Collins giving a speech next to her name. I haven't viewed the video to see exactly what it says, but even if she admits to having Spasmodic dysphonia or any medical condition, it really should not be in the article about her unless it is discussed in an independent source like a news story. That is what the Biographies of Living People policy would suggest. 331dot (talk) 10:09, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
ArbCom 2018 election voter message
[edit]Hello, Chazzyb31. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
