Discretionary sanctions
[edit]Please carefully read this information:
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions. --regentspark (comment) 16:49, 29 February 2016 (UTC)Jat agitation
[edit]Hi Chaser9. It is great that you're trying to build this article up. However, do note that Wikipedia has some important procedures in place to ensure that the information in our articles is reliable and verifiable and that editing is conducted in a collaborative and collegial environmnet. In particular, I would suggest that you use the article talk page to explain your edits, especially when you re-revert something. At the least, use the edit summary field. You may also want to read WP:BRD. Regards and welcome to Wikipedia. --regentspark (comment) 16:54, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
Hi regentspark, I have no problem with that and actually you are right that "all" is infact a blanket but my point is in the line "The lawyers were actually from several castes, and those injured among them were non-Jats." the second part where it mentions that "those injured among them were non-Jats" is inappropriate because its not the case that only non-jats suffered injuries and how thats even possible. There were numerous JAts present in that protest and when they got beaten up only then they called the other people who were protesting to take revenge and it all started. Hope you got the point. If not we can talk again I've no problem in talking and discussing but as per me that line should be changed to ""The lawyers were actually from several castes, and the lawyers got injured."" --User:Chaser9 (comment) 23:50, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
- That's fine. My main reservation was the use of the word 'all'. So go ahead and use your text. --regentspark (comment) 21:55, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

utcursch thanks for correcting me, but tell me one thing can I write the facts presented in that article and write it up in my language instead of copying it? --User:Chaser9 (comment) 3:34 AM, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, you can paraphrase the contents -- just don't copy it verbatim. utcursch | talk 19:55, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:07, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
Ganges
[edit]Unless and until the article itself is moved to Ganga, the primary usage on the page should be Ganges. --Khajidha (talk) 20:34, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
I tried doing that also, and even a lot of users tried but as you can see from the talk archives the western bigots won't let us do so. What else could be the option Khajidha? -- Chaser9 (talk) 20:53, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- The option is to accept that the English name is "Ganges". You will continue to be reverted and you may be banned if you continue. --Khajidha (talk) 21:05, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
