Great Torrington
I have been editing the page Great Torrington. Something has gone wrong at the top of the page, but I cannot understand what, or indeed whether I did it. Please could you take a look so that I do not make it worse trying to put it right. Might it have something to do with me removing the Advert banner?SovalValtos (talk) 12:22, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
- I do not see how your edits would have caused that. I moved the official name parameter to the top of the infobox which seems to have fixed it.Charles (talk) 18:13, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. Sorry to have bothered you. SovalValtos (talk) 18:20, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
- No bother at all. Great to see you doing good work all over the place.Charles (talk) 18:47, 31 October 2014 (UTC)

Line Numbers
Is there any means available of showing the line numbers on a page both in read and edit mode? Either numbers by the side - say every five, or revealed by the pointer.SovalValtos (talk) 14:23, 21 November 2014 (UTC) I could not find anything in preferencesSovalValtos (talk) 14:24, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- Not to my knowledge but I have never enquired. It would certainly help with finding where changes are in long articles. The people at the Teahouse might know.Charles (talk) 18:22, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. I have just raised the point there.SovalValtos (talk) 12:24, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
This article has been nominated for WP:GA. I see you are by some distance the most substantial contributor, but are not the nominator. I am happy to undertake the review, but I think I ought first to make sure you are aware of it and OK about a review. – Tim riley talk 10:26, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
- You must be thinking of someone else. I have not done more than vandal fighting there as far as I remember.Charles (talk) 10:44, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
- How very odd! The revision history credits you with adding 32,144 bytes. But no matter. Better safe than sorry, and I can go ahead with the review in good conscience. Sorry to have bothered you. Best wishes, Tim riley talk 11:14, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
- If a page is blanked and then replaced, would that be credited to the reverter?SovalValtos (talk) 12:27, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
- Perhaps that is it. I am certainly no expert in that subject and did not write any of it.Charles (talk) 18:19, 22 November 2014 (UTC)

Darwin Day Program
Is there a reason why you undid my changes to the Darwin Day entry? I corrected several pieces of misinformation and falsehoods but the log tells me you deleted my work. Please let me know about this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.222.230.106 (talk) 20:49, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
- Assuming you are ICOSH you gave neither edit summary nor sources for the changes. Unsourced changes will be reverted without further comment.Charles (talk) 23:25, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
