Antiretroviral drug comment "Rv edits by Rodasmith"
[edit]Hi Charles. Thanks for catching and reverting the blanking edit to Antiretroviral drug. When I saw your edit comment, I thought I had accidentally made a mistake editing that article. Instead, however, I think you had a typo in your edit comment, as you actually did not revert my edit, but rather the previous edit by 65.35.225.7. Cheers! The Rod 23:57, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, that's exactly what happened. Unfortunately I do not know how to edit the comments in my edits, if that's possible at all :( CharlesDexterWard 11:06, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- Right. I don't think those comments can be edited, as they're part of the article change history. I just wanted to alert you in case, for instance, your usual reversion comment syntax is broken, but it sounds like it was just a random typo. Anyway, happy editing! :-) The Rod 17:18, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
--Prevert 21:05, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
Pixar in Spanish
[edit]Hello. I wonder if you would mind taking a look at something. Please take a look at pixar in Spanish on the talk page for List of company name etymologies. There seems to be some debate over whether a certain statement is true, and it's going to take a Spanish speaker to sort it out. What the article really needs, I suppose, is a Spanish speaker who has read The Second Coming of Steve Jobs, by Alan Deutschman, but it's much easier for me to just find Spanish speakers. ;-) Thank you for your attention, and please let me know if you have any questions. —CKA3KA (Skazka) 21:07, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for clearing that up for us. Since the entry, after the faulty information was removed, didn't tell us anything about the etymology of the name "Pixar," I took the liberty of removing the entry entirely. I imagine the entry, as it was written, was based on the truth, but whoever wrote it either misunderstood the book or misphrased his summary to the point that it wasn't possible to figure out the truth without reading the book ourselves.
- By the way, being a Lovecraft fan from way back, I have to commend you on the name you chose for yourself. (At least I assume you chose it for yourself …) —CKA3KA (Skazka) 05:51, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
Hola CharlesDexter
Esa é a realidade.
--Prevert(talk) 10:54, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Protecting your userboxes
[edit]Because of the current campaign against userboxes, it's pretty likely that many of your boxes are going to get deleted from their template space soon (especially your Flying Spaghetti Monsterism box, but in general, any boxes that could be considered to express a point of view someone might disagree with). These templates could very possibly be deleted in the next week or two. The best (and really, only) way to protect those userboxes is to perform a "substitute" command on each one of them, which will put the code directly into your page, instead of calling on the template every time your page is loaded. That way, when the template is deleted, it has no effect on the code resident on your page.
In order to do this, go into your user page, and wherever you have a template, insert "subst" inside the brackets. So,
{{template name}} becomes {{subst:template name}}
and your userboxes will all take up residence on your page. Sometimes this makes the formatting funky, and will require some tweaking in the code to restore the layout of your boxes as they were before. If you have any questions about this, please drop me a line. Regards, JDoorjam Talk 23:27, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
I'm calling out a posse, to fight for freedom of choice, to fight all those who think that only their opinion's right, template:user fsm was speedy deleted by an administrator without any cause or even discussion, I'm therefore putting it up for undeletion since people have put a jihad out against opinions in userboxes. As you were one of many people using the template, I'm trying to rally you into the posse. If you think the template should be returned to active status, put in a vote at Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Userbox_debates#template:user_fsm. Janizary 04:26, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
Austin districts
[edit]I'm not qualified enough to take on the task you requested of me.
But I have forwarded your message to those I know who are more informed of the local level politics.
Thanks for the participation.--Zereshk 06:54, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
hi
[edit]Hi. I found you in the category of users who can contribute in English and Portuguese. I myself am a native speaker of English, but I'm well on my way to learning Portuguese. Just check out my user page and talk page, and join in any of the discussions. To keep updated, you can even put a watch on my user page, which will automatically watch my talk page. :-) learnportuguese (talk) 16:11, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
