[edit]

Your edit at History of Israel has been reverted. Per WP:ERA: "Do not change from one style to another unless there is substantial reason for the change, and consensus for the change with other editors." From WP:MOSNUM, "If an article has been stable in a given style, it should not be converted without a style-independent reason." and "Where Wikipedia does not mandate a specific style, editors should not attempt to convert Wikipedia to their own preferred style". Derry

[edit]

There is a long standing agreement to call the city Derry and the county Londonderry Equally country does not equal "sovereign state" All articles relating to "The Troubles" are subject to a 1rr restriction You should discuss any changes on the talk page (and if you read the header of the page this is made clear) before editing the article directly on these controversial issues --Snowded TALK 11:30, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PS there is also an agreement that Ireland should be used rather than Republic of Ireland when the meaning of "state" is clear. --Snowded TALK 11:39, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

2nd warning

[edit]

You were already warned against This sort of thing above. Adding an excuse like "Just changed the city name from its common name to its official name!" as an edit summary doesn't change the obvious: that you were fully informed about this above. Further attempts to "just" violate WP:DERRY will probably be interpreted as attempts to generate more heat than light on Wikipedia. Please do not do it again. --Closeapple (talk) 23:05, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
