[edit]Hello Chandan Kanti Paul and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to Farooq Abdullah, do not conform to our policies. ARBIPA sanctions alert
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please stop adding future successors to politicians' infoboxes. This goes against our Manual of Style. Per Template:Infobox officeholder/doc: "The infobox for an incumbent officeholder should not mention an elected or designated successor, or the end date of the term, until the transition actually takes place." Thanks. ― Tartan357 Talk 15:11, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of United States Attorneys appointed by Joe Biden
[edit]Hello Chandan Kanti Paul,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged United States Attorneys appointed by Joe Biden for deletion, because it seems to be a test. Did you know that the Wikipedia Sandbox is available for testing out edits?
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from United States Attorneys appointed by Joe Biden, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. JW 1961 Talk 09:47, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

- On Wikipedia, discussions and consensus are not resolved through a simple headcount. We are not an experiment in democracy or internet anarchy. Please stop with your "count update" comments. They serve no useful purpose, and, technically, because you're relatively new here, you're not allowed to make comments on that discussion, especially if they are disruptive like those you are making. I suggest you go and take a look at our policies and guidelines, most precisely the one regarding article titles (WP:TITLE) and the ones regarding consensus (WP:CONSENSUS). Thanks, RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 19:04, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
Hello, and thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia! However, you should know that it is not a good idea to remove citations or information sourced through citations simply because a link to a source is not working, as you did to India–Palestine relations. Dead links should not be deleted. Instead, please repair or replace the link, if possible, and ensure properly sourced information is retained. Often, a live substitute link can be found. Links not used as references, notes or citations are not as important, such as those listed in the "External links" or "Further reading" sections, but bad links in those sections should also be fixed if possible. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. A simple look at the Internet Archive was enough to fix the link here... Why are you saying "As per WP:Crystal Ball rules" when the rules say something completely different?
[edit]You removed my mentioning of President Biden being scheduled to meet Queen Elizabeth II for the first time citing "as per WP: Crystal Ball rules". Unlike you I actually read the rules and my edit was perfectly acceptable under those rules. Let me quote you something from what you obviously didn't read:
Individual scheduled or expected future events should be included only if the event is notable and almost certain to take place.
Now let us dissect this....
- The President of the United States of America meeting the Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms for the first time.
- Notable? Check.
- Almost certain to take place? Check.
- Verifiable? Check. (Reliable sources were added)
So I believe we can determine now that my edit fit the bill perfectly and my edits had no reason to be removed as no rules were actually broken.
So please explain why you are using your own made up rules to remove people's edits claiming them to be Wikipedia rules which I have just proven to you is not the case? JugulatorJJ (talk) 14:28, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 16
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hardeep Singh Puri, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Minister of Civil Aviation. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:55, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 2022 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly election. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Discuss on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Indian politics Venkat TL (talk) 12:44, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Lol1VNIO. I noticed that you recently removed content from Indian National Congress without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. lol1VNIO (talk • contribs) 12:23, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Indian National Congress, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Our readers are looking for serious articles and will not find joke edits amusing. Remember that Wikipedia is a widely used reference tool, so we have to take what we do here seriously. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use your sandbox instead. Thank you. Venkat TL (talk) 13:14, 13 March 2022 (UTC)

You have shown interest in South Asian social groups. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose discretionary sanctions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. |
