[edit]Hello, I'm Johnny Au. I noticed that you recently removed content from Scotiabank Arena without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - how would i change it so only one name is linked? Chamj5009 (talk) 20:07, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- See the CAN-KAZ game for example with i fixed. That's how it should be. First time the player has a point, it's linked, after that only the surname is used. Kante4 (talk) 20:08, 17 May 2023 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 1
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2023 World Para Ice Hockey Championships, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Malik Jones and Kevin McKee. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:54, 1 June 2023 (UTC)

December 2023
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into 2009 World Sledge Hockey Challenge. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:26, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
- You also did this with 2011 World Sledge Hockey Challenge. Please do not cut and paste content from a draft article. Instead, moving the draft back to main space so we don't have two articles on the same subject. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:28, 9 December 2023 (UTC)

editing game summaries
[edit]a good way to edit the game summaries is to do them in your 'sandbox', test if it works okay, then paste it to the main page if everything works. Just be careful that changes from other editors don't get erased at the same time.18abruce (talk) 20:08, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

Use of dashes
[edit]Hi, I noticed on your edits to 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup that you have been using hyphens and double hyphens for scores. Generally we use the en dash for this purpose. I would recommend reading MOS:DASH (and WP:HTMD) for how and why we use these symbols on Wikipedia. Cheers and happy editing, thanks for working on making Wikipedia a better place: IceBergYYC (talk) 02:00, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
Deletion discussion about 2023–24 Kitchener Rangers season
[edit]Hello Chamj5009, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, 2023–24 Kitchener Rangers season, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2023–24 Kitchener Rangers season.
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Conyo14}}
