Welcome

[edit]

Hi, there's maybe some useful info for you in this template welcome message:

Welcome!

Hello, Cetot, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, you can post to the help desk or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

By the way, I moved your article on the TVB series to The Bund (TV series), usually we add (TV series) or (film) or some other disambig like if two articles would have the same name.

Also, you might want to check out HK wikipedians' notice board, HK Collaboration of the Week. Just a thought. - Ajshm 15:14, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ajhsm.

Let me thank you for your welcome , and allow me to trouble you for advice . Could you have a look at Japanese Communist Party for me and tell me if there has been as I suspect a case of vandalism . As a nebie I'm not sure as to what channles to pursue in cases of vandalism , or that matter am I confident enough yet to challenge another user . As it stood the article raised some NPOV questions due to its use of rhetorical formulas , however if as I suspect the original author had a close affiliation to the party these formulations were useful in providing an insight as to how the party saw itself .

However the articles most recent contributer(35.10.123.209)has not only taken offence with the rhetoric but seems to have tried to replace one form of bias with another , the most obvious on reading the article now is the substitution of

for

"The youth wing of JCP is the Democratic Youth League of Japan."

His or her bias is less obvious unless the history is checked , in which case it will be noted that any mention of the JCP's desire for democracy and consensus is deleted , as is the reasoning for its objection to globalisation on social and environmental grounds .

Whilst the original article's POV was obvious to all and can be taken with a pinch of salt ,(35.10.123.209)'s edits seem to be equally POV but are for the most part hidden from view.(Cetot 07:10, 29 August 2005 (UTC))[reply]

JCP

[edit]

If you think something is vamdalism, or an unjustified pov edit, irrelevant, or just somethign that generally decreased the quality of the artcle, feel free to revert it. You can revert something by clicking History then the date of the older version you want to save, e.g. 10:35, 29 August 2005, then clicking edit this page and then type somethign like "reverted edits by xyz to version by asd" (or rv = short for rever, rvv = reverted vandalism) and click Save page.

About the blue box. If you start a line with a space it will do this. Used for code or something, I don't really know.
