My name is Cecil Harris. I am a Chicago Native and I attend LMSA (Lindblom Math and Science Academy)in the 11th grade. I enjoy Music, Music, and MORE MUSIC.

This user is participating in a class project for my History of Chicago course (high school). Students in these classes are in the process of learning Wikipedia while at the same time researching and writing to meet Wikipedia's standards as well as my class standards. Please be patient with these students as they learn and understand that some of the articles they are working on may take longer to complete than some might expect. Cecil, I think you need to take the sections you have created and incorporate them into existing articles. For example, create a "Chicago's influence" to the page on Gospel music. I don't think what you have would work as a separate article.MrSilva (talk) 12:38, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chicago Landmarks

The 63rd st. Bathing Pavilion

This edifce is located on the beach of 63rd street: 6300 S. Lake Shore Drive to be exact. It was designed by the architects of the South Park Commision and D. H. Burnham and Co. In terms of the park districts,it is on the land of Jackson Park right on the shores of Lake Michigan. It was meant to house many of the bathing sports and competitions during the earlier 20th century. It was built in 1919 and was designated a Chicago Landmark on December 4, 2004. It is described by the City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development, Landmarks Division as having a commanding yet elegant presence.
