Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Boljoon.jpg}
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Boljoon.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image source problem with Image:Cebucathedral3.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Cebucathedral3.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Soxred93 (u t) 10:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Lapu-Lapu. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. My reasons for reverting and/or editing assertions that Lapu-lapu was a Muslim are on the article's talk page. Edits made by me are in no way acts of vandalism. As I've said, unless proponents of the argument can present literature on the matter from verifiable sources other than from just a website, I will edit out such an assumption. But if in fact proponents of the argument can present literature from verifiable sources, I will accede and respect the proposition. In the mean time. Don't be to quick to judge that such an edit was an act of vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cdvl (talk • contribs) 15:37, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi! Thank you for initiating discussion regarding the article. My concern is with your quick judgment that the provided refs are not verifiable and subsequent removal of such referenced lines are not in keeping with Wikipedia policy. I will now initiate a WP:NPOV dispute by appending a POV tag to the article. However, I need to revert the article back to its original state before your deletion, in order for the other editors participating in the NPOV dispute to judge for themselves the merit of the disputed lines. Please refrain from removing those lines until consensus has been reached. I apologize if I interpreted your actions as vandalism. Cheers! — •KvЯt GviЯnЭlБ• Speak! 01:38, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Juliocardinalrosales.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Juliocardinalrosales.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. File copyright problem with File:Boljoon.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Boljoon.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. --ARTEST4ECHO talk 15:52, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
